My perfect ending would be for there to some how be a major uprising in all or many of the nations in Thedas, toppling dominant monarchies, chantry dominance, and oppressive factions in favor of either each country setting up its own style of democracy or constitutional monarchy or the entire Thedas attempting to become one republic (Serene Republic of Thedas
) an entire cultural movement with religious power dwindling and the rise of science, technology, art etc etc. Think, a Dragon Age Renaissance.
The future Dragon age games would take place many years later (depending on the events in DA:I maybe a decade, maybe a century) with this renaissance style all over Thedas. The sequel would deal with he corruption of a democracy, the clashing of "old world" and "new", the racism against the now completely equal elves and much more. Industrial revolution, the rise of guns/cannons (or something like it) and perhaps the colonization of far away lands (if there are any). The only thing i can think to compare this to is like the the change from Fable 1 to Fable 2.
That would be great for me. Maybe not in DA:I, but eventually.
Personally, I'd want the exact opposite.
Everyone and their dog has done the whole "glorification of democracy" and "religion is bad, mkay?" schtik. I'm tired of seeing Middle Ages being treated as the worst period ever.
So I want the total opposite.
What I especially hate is all those "man challenges the god(s), man wins... because..spirit..willpower..or crap like that. Man is God!"

Ideal endingS for me
a happy one
a sad one
a bittersweet one
a somber one
a lighter one
a darker one
a secret one
but more importantly...a well-made and consistent one

Or we could have that great democratic revolution be akin to the French Terrors. And then the outcome be more the Bolshevik Revolution. With the oppression and systematic attempt to destroy the Chantry being the Great Leap Forward.

The ideal ending would be for me to eradicate all the races and remake Thedas in my image

I don't necessarily want my protagonist being exalted and living the life of a hero, but equally I don't want to get all the way to the end and find out that my poor PC has had to go on the run for the rest of their life. At least, not unless they really deserve it

Wake up sitting in a chair,
"Its about time you woke up sleeping beauty. We got one more song till the end of this ball." Varric
"Huh? What?" Looks around the Orlesian Ballroom. "Sorry had a dream, lets go."

You get to the end and meet the maker who tells you it was all for the good of Thedas. And since you have now screwed that up you get three choices.
1. Destroy the link to the fade which will kill the mages and remove magic from the world.
2. Merge the fade and the real world and everyone becomes like Anders.
3. Take the makers place so he can have a vacation and run things in his place.
It would be even better if the maker was called Dave.

You missed option 4: throw the unusable cutscene knife at the Maker rejecting his logic and condemning Thedas to an eternal war leading to it's destruction.

An ending that doesn't preclude a DA4, which is what all these 'happy go lucky democracy and world peace for everyone' endings would do. Leave things better off than they are at the start (which is pretty bad) but no-where near a perfect world state.
