hello, has there been any talk of a long epilogue for dragon age 3?

i missed that in DA2, DA 1 and awakening were perfect, mentioned all major choices, some small choices and gave us closure, even if some of them were reconned it makes no difference, those epilogues left for a lack of a better word " a good taste in the mouth".it made me want to replay them over again and do different choice to see the different outcomes,

DA 2 had a Smaller epilogue but in my opinion it was suffiecient at the time when a expansion was planned so it was adequet, i hope hawk wont be left out in the cold or kiled off so easily as the Exile from kotor 2, there dos not always have to be death and destruction for a story to have meaning.

some people say the journey is more important then the destination.

and i strongly disagree.

I'm fine with the fact that the Origins epilogues turned out to be less then definitive, but I don't really need them again if they are just going to be discarded for the next game. I definitely want to see the result of choices I make, big and some small, sure, but I would much rather actually see it happen then have an end game slide show.

I would be happier if the stuff you're talking about maybe became in-game rumors. Like, with sending Dagna to the Circle, if when you're in Denerim after the quest you hear someone in the mage shop say something about a dwarven girl who is really impressing the enchanters in the Cicle. That way you learn about the repurcussions in the game itself, it isn't verified as fact/its just a word of mouth account, and the world feels immediately reactive to your choices.

definitely. I'd like to have bigger epilogues, be it on slides, or cutscene. one of the thing that really made me angry in ME3 was, beside the A, B, C lie and the illogical writing, how rushed was and feels unfinished. the EC made it a little (very little) more long the thing, but really, someone, after hours of playng and work, should just relax and see a mini-movie.

one of my favourite structure for an ending is Final Fantasy IX. It adress all the people important during the story, both with slides and little cutscene. I still have a happy tear every time I finish the game.

the ending is long, and very satisfating.  ^_^

I'd like slightly chunkier epilogues. The companions and inquisitor are what I'd like focused on. What they go off and do next, maybe with some variability based on choices made in the game.

I prefer long epilogues outlining how my choices affected the people, places, and political/social systems.  Similar to DA:O.  Not only epilogues about my character, but also of the companions and many main characters in the world that she interacted with.  With the factions in DA:I, and us doing things with those factions, I'd definitely want to see how those factions fare in the epilogues (provided the climax of the game doesn't kill everyone off or something, hey? ;P).

I'd like to see the return of epilogues like in DAO, they were good, slightly ambiguous and, well, " left a good taste in the mouth". But maybe in a different format, just reading text of a screen isn't the most interesting way to do it.

I would love to have this in the game but also at the end have the slide show and thats where it's more detail and has facts.

The Fallout New Vegas epilogue reminded me of the DAO one. It, and the ones at the ends of the addons were probably my favorite part of the game.

I think the "40 endings" thing refers to the various outcomes that would show up in the epilogue (also similar to the word-less epilogue of ME3 where it showed various characters doing... things). Just assuming of course, but there's really no cost-effective way to get that much variation without having combinations of outcomes from various choices you made throughout. Plus Bioware has been doing the epilogue thing for a while....

I want them back, just so we have somewhat of an idea of possible things happening in future games... even if they decide to change things

I'd like a long ala dao epilogue too just not as buggy. 40 endings sounds very nice indeed but has a protential to get jumbled.

Yes to epilogues, its just shows the outcome of my choices for that story which might or might not end with that character and its possible future outcome.
