You have to have armor piercing or weakening if you want all the standard shots to do more than 5 damage to armor.

Accuracy is pretty bad for how low the damage is on the standard shots.  Obviously on Accuracy +/- Stability boosting classes it will work a lot better, but that is true of nearly every automatic gun.

If you try it on a standard class against Collectors, and then get bee'd, the shots will basically come out of the gun backwards.

I lol'd

It's a shame most people never got to see the SP version of the BPP which easily rivals the Hurricane and surpasses it against armor.

I like the sound, even though the bouncing makes it somewhat annoying to use against smaller mooks.

Still a pretty solid gun, and it's pretty much my favourite SMG to use on ROF classes.

Yeah, GI BPP with AP ammo heatsink and damage barrel is beast on Plat. (not somehow inferring that GI+anything =/= beast on Plat)

It has a larger clip size than the hurricane, I like it better. For the same reason it is a better fit for the Tsol. TSol + BPP is one my favourite combos.

Quarian Marksman, stability mod + extended clip + AP IV ammo. Tac Scan, engage Marksman, watch armor melt across London.

Why is that?

Pretty sure the way the numbers work out is that the BPP can do better sustained armor DPS than the Hurricane because of the AP rounds and the much larger magazine.  The Hurricane is almost always going do do much better against mooks though, unless you're somehow very adept at landing headshots with the AP round on the BPP.  So basically, the BPP is marginally better against high-armor boss targets, and the Hurricane is significantly better against everything else.

EDIT:  I have a Hurricane IX and a BPP III, so I always use the Hurricane.  I have used the BPP as an anti-boss gun when I'm using a utility weapon like the Falcon or Acolyte as a main weapon.  This is probably the only use where it may be justifiable to take it over the Hurricane.  Also, I'd probably say the Turian Soldier would be the best class for the BPP.

I could make that work, especially since I was playing the Valkyrie   , BE's do most of the work for me on mooks, I just have some quick cleanup if they're full-shield elite mooks. And yes, the gun definitely shines most in sustained fire against bosses; as I said in the earlier post, 1 warp, 1 clip and no more Atlas. Atlas is so big you can't miss, though; I'm going to try it on a + acc, + RoF class and see how it fares.

Why is that?

I guess, well, that I wasn't excited by his initial powerset on release, and somehow I play male Quarians the least in general.... but then I play male kits the least, period, so there is that.

Laziness, satisfaction with other kits, TSol does it better, etc...

The BPP is interesting in that it actually fires two different projectiles. the two regular barrels are actually relatively low recoil, but the third barrel fires an armor piercing rounds with very high recoil. That said, I like it on turians, destroyer, and the QMS for the accuracy. the recoil dampener also helps with the recoil, but not the spread. Overall, I think the biggest drawback is the accuracy (recoil can be mitigated) but the damage is very good for an SMG.

My advice: try the scope on it

I run it on THS -AP4/Stab3/SMGRA3/Barrage5 with recoil dampener 5 and Scope 5

I don't know if I got a 3x hit but a couple times shooting the captains chair I saw huge chunks disappear so I'm thinking maybe @ least some double hits w/ the AP round. I'd love to see a 3x

It's a gun best used right up close and personal ... and it's a SMG so can mount a power booster mod ... it makes a LOT of sense on the Vorcha Sentinel basically (or the soldier) if you want to use something that's more stylish than just slapping a Reegar or Hurricane on it.

I like it. Like the feel and sound. I use it for role playing purposes mostly. Obviously TSol is the one that really makes it sing (heat sink/mag upgrade+dam barrel+ap4 <3 )

TSol, QMS - obviously, Vorcha Engineer for RPG reasons and recently Geth Engineer.

I really like it on the GE, HM makes every weapon better ; you got Overload for Shields ; go with Incendiary ammo for FE.

I like the BPP but the problem with it is it's more unstable and inaccurate than the Hurricane and doesn't surpass it in damage if you overcome those deficiencies.

Tsol does it better only on consoles. On PC, they're pretty much the same.

Turians are better than shiftless Quarians.

The reason to choose the Quaroldier is for Tac Scan.  A useful power for the whole group.  I use the BPP on a number of caster levels at times, need that stability mod that is for sure.
