The first Call of Duty game from Sledgehammer Games and the first in the new three-year development cycle, Advanced Warfare puts players in the role of Mitchell (Troy Baker), who carries out missions in the year 2054 under the world's largest private military, the Atlas Corporation, founded by CEO Jonathan Irons (Kevin Spacey).

Some details from the latest issue of GameInformer:

-Powered exoskeleton suits! They can also be upgraded with points that are earned after each mission.

-Grenades that can switch from concussive to threat detection. With threat detection, enemy locations are revealed with your augmented reality visor.

-Advanced Warfare is being built on a new engine.

-San Francisco, California and Detroit, Michigan are two confirmed locations in the campaign.

-Will Irons, the son of Jonathan Irons, is a supporting character for Mitchell in the campaign.

-Will be released on November 4th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. A version for PS3 and Xbox 360 is also being developed, but is being handled by a different studio.

Detroit will be in the game?

I guess it's going to be like Black Hawk Down without RPGs.

They're still fun to play.

However I usually just complete the single player campaign and uninstall the game forever.

CoD is my guilty pleasure, I really like the games for brainless fun.

It's almost like watching Van Damme movies.

Yeah, they're great instant gratification.

I've played every single CoD game, even the bad ones like CoD 3 and World at War. Like the Halo series, I will continue to play them even if they're made by other developers.

After Black Ops 1 I was 100% done with CoD and I hope to keep it that way.

They could've at least come up with a more unique title to convince long-time fans that it won't be a reskinning of the last few games.

After Modern warfare I expected it to be called Future warfare. Sounds a bit more epic than Advanced warfare imho.

I play the story first and then go to multiplayer. Most players I know never play the story
