Yes, but enemies will not give their resources freely. Player has to take them by stealth or by force. And they are not unlimited.
We already know how this works since we played the other MGS games, having resources was never a real issue (if you handled this right) because we can take them from enemies or other places

Not for my favorite non-lethal pistol. Don't know about other weapons though.

They don't need to be. You're not supposed be expending resources willy-nilly.

Good. I hope I'll have enough ammo for non-lethal weapon in each game. Even if it will be hard to get this ammo. And I hope there are more types of non-lethal weapons than just one pistol.

There's always been atleast 2 non-lethal weapons outside of using CQC, don't see that changing now

Doesn't every game also have an Infinite Ammo bandana?
In retrospect, you never have to truly worry about ammo shortages in Metal Gear, partly because the idea is NOT TO USE IT, given its central focus on stealth. The recent games direction towards a more shooter-inspired gameplay mechanics, has encouraged the non-stealth route, especially because in MGS4 you can get ammo easily (it's sort of a spoiler but you'll see what I mean).
It looks like LC will be delivered to me next week... Sometimes waiting for several days is much harder than waiting for year...
I need to resist and not open any spoilers here ![]()
Also I have to forget about YouTube for some time ![]()
I should go, and create a... MGS checklist... yep, the checklist... and then... have some painting practice, and... well... who bought all the copies of MGS LC in local shops I wonder...

Infinite what?
Infinite what?
Oh, its a bonus item you can unlock at some point in most of the games.

And it gives infinite ammo? I think that I should avoid using it. Let ammo have limits... it's more interesting.

Oh yeah don't worry. Its not like you're forced to use it. Just a bonus item that you can turn on and off.

Still haven't gotten around to playing MGS4 or anything afterwards, but in the first three MGS's, you don't get it until a new game+ anyway as well as completing certain conditions in the base game.

I see.
I'm not planning to play each game several times. One playthrough is more than enough to experience the story, especially if it is linear... There is no choises system (like in Mass Effect or inFamous) in any of canon MGS games, right?
I'd be surprised if you don't end up playing them again. Cannot tell how many times I played each of them again. The gameplay offers unique variations in how to proceed, which actually make each playthrough unique. Hideo Kojima's dedication to details also makes it, so that you'll potentiallycmiss out on certain dialogue sections, or interesting details, that might foreshaow upcoming events, especially in form of the "CODEC". Sons of Liberty & Snake Eater warrants multiple playthroughs, especially the former to get a grander understanding of it's overarching postmodern plot. It's what made me appreciate Sons of Liberty more, than most of the games with the exception of Snake Eater. My advice - Play the games already instead of relying too much on our opinion
I see. Well, just need to wait till the next week, and I can finally start ![]()

As I expected, the story is indeed truly philosophical drama. Deep, and instructive. Amazingly well executed. At first the setting looked a bit wierd - there is something from sci-fi and something from fantasy/paranormal, while the entire story happens in some kind of quasi-realistic modern timeline. But I got used to it quite easily... This is what I can say after completing the Snake Eater anyway. I really hope the rest of the games from the list have the same trends.
...I have to admit that Metal Gear series may become my favorite story. Not even TLoS or B:TS were so amazing.

Aw, too bad you started with Snake Eater. I personally would have recommended to start with Metal Gear Solid, especially because the gameplay is totally different from Snake Eater and Sons of Liberty.
Playing it chronologically huh. Smart from a story viewpoint but boy is the gameplay going to be a ****** for you to get used to.
True it does do that but it's nice to see things from the character's point of view instead of being an outside viewer.
For me it's acceptible that I'll have some spoilers during chronological order playthrough, because they will come through actual experiencing the story. I just don't want to see any spoilers from outside of the games... About gameplay and graphics differences. Well, I'll get used to that anyway. Besides, I think that I will not wait till Phantom Pain release (when I get close to this part of the story) to continue the playthrough, so the last game in the series I will play will have the best possible graphics and controls ![]()
But see that's easy to say from someone who's already beaten the games a long time ago. I don't know how you got into the series so bear with me. I do, know, that a lot of people played the games since 1998 and some even further back since the NES. Heck, when I saw some friends get into the games for the first time I wish I could go back and experience them again. Going with the way of how the gameplay has evolved is also the smart thing.True it does do that but it's nice to see things from the character's point of view instead of being an outside viewer.
I actually got into it recently via the legacy collection. I played it via order of release then again chronologically. Playing chronologically helped me put all the pieces together but god it was annoying getting used to gameplay changes.
