Vanilla HI ... because if you're gonna use one of the hardest hitting guns in the game, you may as well stick it on a damage boosting Infiltrator with Cryo blast as a debuffer.

Claymore really shines with accuracy kits. (Hunter mode, DM)

I used it on all geth, and my personal favorite is the Destroyer. No need for anything else and he gets it almost too accurate.

On my host, you could probably use the raider like an auto rifle!

Sad thing was, there was a time when my host could get four shot raiders. Someone once said they got five shots, but the source isn't exactly trustworthy...

I really only like the Claymore on my GI, when I feel like venting "pugrage"...

 

That said, I'm well aware that it's amazing on pretty much anything...but when I use it I tend to get "singleminded" (shoot, RC, etc) and forget about other powers on kits. Thus my preference for it on GI which is my favorite weapon platform.

My best/favorite kit to Claymore is my good ol' KroSent. Reload cancelling off of Lift Grenades never gets old.

^ talon GI is the most effective GI IMO.

 

Edit: And I don't think anyone claimed claymore GI was more effective.
