Why audio converted with WW2ogg always does not sound like the actual in-game audio?

Most of them actually should sound just like in game. However, the game may apply additional effects to the sound, due to scripts or the game environment in which the sound is played, such as reverb or radio effects.

You'd need to replicate those by yourself with an audio program (e.g. audacity) or capture the voice from in game with something like Fraps.

Oh no I don't mean that. I mean that there are pauses/fade out phases that in game are absent!

Hmmm, I never encountered that. Are you sure it's not just your player? VLC for example does not play oggs correctly sometimes. Try opening the sounds in an editing program like audacity and see if they playcorrectly in there.

Alternatively, you can try to use ME3Explorer's AFC to WAV tool (under Tools -> Extractor). Although it may actually be that this tool also just runs ww2ogg.

Anyway, if none of the above helps, could you give a specific example so that I can see if I can replicate the problem?

Cheers!

it's with winamp and VGMstream.. not too many mistakes possible by the player I fear.

The explorer does not work for ME2 tho. it says "could not find file out.wav".

I'm trying to properly extract the files from Wwise_EndGame2_Music, and hear them as they play in-game. but no success.

Try this tool:

http://social.biowar...ect/8496/#files

It works for ME2 and I can extract from the file you mentioned with no problems.

is there a batch command for AFC extractor which tells the program to extract each afc to a folder named after the AFC but WITHOUT converting the files?
