I understand that the Dragon Age Keep save editor is still undergoing Beta testing at the moment, but I've been trying to find information as to how it will be accessible once it goes live in the run up to release of Dragon Age Inquisition. Specifically with a view to consoles. Will it be necessary to have an XBox live gold account, or a PSN subscription account? Could a version ship on disc with the game?
All I have seen online at the moment describes it as web-based and an answer to my questions above could influence which platform I get this game for.
I don't know if I'm posting this in the correct location or not and if I'm not then I apologise and will move it if told where it should be located, or if one of the mods move it then please let me know where to find it.

Thank You in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I guess this will work like Infamous Second Son's DLC "Paper Trail". Free and completely accessible through different mediums.

I've actually been curious myself. Will be done on the Bioware we site, a downloadable app or downloadable to your console?

they said it will work on anything that has the internet  so you will have to go online via what ever app you have on the console and click it then access it

Here's my assumption:

It's a website that connects to your Bioware account.

* So on any PC you would log in to the Keep, and edit your world state/save/decisions.

* Once complete, you go to your console of choice and load up Inquisition.

* Within the game, you log in to your Bioware account and connect to Keep. This will allow you to import any of the world states you have saved there.

Expect it to be well ahead of release. Things like this generate hype, and someone who goes into the keep and creates a save is much more likely to buy the game.

Might be a bit cynical, but something like this is as much a marketing tool as it is a feature.

And so would either of these methods require a subscription to either Xbox live Gold or PSN, depending on platform. My main concern is simply the fact that I have historically had no need or desire for online gaming access or early access to features or any of the other benefits of having either of the paying versions of access for either console. I had already decided that Dragon Age Inquisition would be the game with which I would move into the latest generation of consoles. I have already played both previous games a number of times on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and would like to build on the world states I have created through my various playthroughs, but I am concerned that I may have to pay an annual subscription for Gold or PSN just to access the Dragon Age Keep.

Ultimately I guess what it boils down to is this:  Will this be free to access or will it be stuck behind a paywall of some kind, though not necessarily one of Bioware's making?

I don't think theres been an actual answer to this but I would think that it wouldn't require a gold or ps+ subscription. I don't think games without actual mp require the sub. At least from what ive seen on the xbox 360... though I may not be the greatest source in the world since I tended to favor and/or buy more games for my ps3....

I just applied for the Beta today - though with all of my old account information on here and everywhere else being missing - I'm not sure what all will end up being imported

If you go to the bioware social network page you have four things appear there. From right to left: Answer HQ, N7 HQ, the Forums and the Keep. Since they say it's web based I think you'll just have to click there when it comes out.

It is a web based service.

What happens is this. You will log onto the Keep from your PC or mobile device or anything that can run a website.

You will set up your world save using the keep and save it to your Origin account (this is the account you use to log into all EA games including DA:O DA2 and ME2 and ME3).

What the above means is your save games are accessable from any platform that can connect to the internet. You do NOT need Xbox Live Gold or and PS Plus membership to connect your console to the internet i know this from first had experience.

When you load a game of Dragon Age inquisition you will be prompted to log into your account. Just like DA:O and Dragon Age 2. You will then be able to select which save you have created on the Keep to load the game.

Thank you.
