It pointed up, as it was in the Discover trailer. In that last pic, is it just me, or is the Sword of Mercy pointing up instead on down?

In DAO it pointed up and the flames were smaller.

This is really nice.
Reminds me a lot of the ruins at Ostagar... And weren't those built by dwarves commissioned by Tevinter magisters for the Imperium?

Ah, fair enough.
Still, the architecture is very reminiscent of Ostagar, so perhaps it's another former Tevinter fortress.

Hm, the Red Lyrium growing right out of the watchtower? Wth is this place?

It looks like the remnants of a templar keep, overrun with red lyrium crystals. The insignia looks like the Sword Of Mercy from DAO. Could be that a templar stronghold was there and corrupted ages ago by that funky lyrium? If it's part of the former Dales, could be that the Chantry thought it "poetic" or "necessary" to have templars in a place they felt had let magic "run amok" before they went all Exalted March on the Elvhen?

Hmmm, maybe the presence of a behemoth can make red lyrium crystal grow exponentially faster?

It's the Red Lyrium factory of course. People were wondering how the Red Templar had so much...I guess we know now.

Oh, bless Zeus' sandals, there's snow. I love snow in games and it's one of the reasons why i love Skyrim. Speaking of Skyrim, i'm getting skyrim vibes in those pics and i like it.

I figured as much, but what caused this? It's a huge amount, given its potency. And how did they not just kill each other in crazed frenzy, considering what's happened with Bartrand and Meredith? Uh, the questions.

This looks pretty awesome. Reminds me of Skyrim, around the Windhelm area.
Definitely want to know how the Red Templars are not going cray-cray and eating their fellows' faces in the presence of so much red lyrium.

Perhaps the presence of a behemoth could facilitate faster growth of the crystals? Also, perhaps the red lyrium is somewhat sentient in that it's preventing them from fighting each other.

Maybe Red Lyrium is like Borb nanites, it self-replicate, take over organics and make them work like if they were in a hive-mind.

So it has mountains, and the dales doesn't have mountains until you get close to the frostbacks. And I'd also say, given the snow, it's probably within the southern, higher half

See what happens when you let Templars get bored? They go on e-bay and buy "Amazing Crystal Gardens" (now with Red Lyrium!)

amok, amok, amok.

Heh, a hive mind sounds plausible, which effectively makes them similar to Darkspawn? Please BW, not again! More mindless opponents? I hope you are wrong

Darkspawns have no souls that is why they are mindless. The Red Templars do have souls, it might be more like "Assuming direct control".
We are just missing green lyrium now...
