- Long hair.

- Body tattoo.

- Ear piercings.

And I would like a hairstyle like Viking's Ragnar for males and something like Lagertha's for the female.

It would be nice something like the Mirror of Transformation from Dragon Age 2, not only for the Inquisitor, but for companions too, even if it's just a few options pre-sets.

I'd like to request a monocle, for the few of us who desire more refined image for their inquisitors.

Scars for the peasants unable to handle their weapons well enough to defend themselves competently, I suppose.

Say that to these guys

I felt the hair that Lara Croft had in Tomb Raider was quite well rendered actually, so it doesn't seem to be an impossible job.

Lara's hair was in a pony tail and she wasn't wearing high neck, wide collar armor plating.

It's seems that the issue with DAI is not just rendering hair, it's the hair working with the armor designs.

Sure, but that's just one hair style with one outfit.  They don't have to contend with dozens of combinations of armour and hair styles competing with each other.  I want lots of long hair options too, but I realize that there might be a lot of problems with this.

Heck, Disney couldn't even deal with hair clipping.

I believe they stated that they wouldn't be doing wind blown effects for hair because they also have companions to worry about memory wise (I say memory, but I don't know what they actually have to consider when these things come into play). So it's not like LC where it's just her against the world so the game could afford to animate Lara's hair. DAI has three other people to consider when the PC wants to feel like a model.

First time I agree with you. An eye patch would be fantastic, specially for rogues/fighters

I just want the CC to be the first thing that appears when starting a new game, character creation after some mandatory tutorial is awful.

I see that hairstyle existing in the Dragon Age universe for Chasind Barbarians.

BTW great show.

I really want jewelry. Piercings, necklaces, visible rings...and horn decorations for the qunari.

How about a bandage/wrap-thing across both eyes? Not as in recent injury, more like an accessory that a blind seer would have. Could be a cool look for a Mage or something. Wouldn't be able to be recognized in game, of course, but that still would be a neat visual.

Lara Croft had multiple outfits throughout the game and even though it was a pony tail I'd say plenty of people would be satisfied with the option of actually having one, rather than a rigid coupe.

Spoiler

Point being that it is an issue that requires effort, I get that, but I feel the rewards would be far greater for Bioware if they would manage to pull of long hair styles. I won't be playing with long hair styles myself however, I tend to go for a male lead character :)

Imagine tiny knife-shaped earrings.

A good variety of skin tones. We tend to get a lot of middle tones, some lighter tones and a few darker tones. Way, way too many games completely ignore the extremes of the spectrum as if especially pale and especially dark people don't exist at all. Especially dark skin and especially pale skin are something I really hope they include. For that matter I hope they have a good range of eye colors and hair colors to compliment an expanded range of skin tones.

multiple PLANNED outfits. DAI will have ridiculous amounts of choices compared to Lara's what, five outfits? You didn't get to choose what Lara was wearing.

And like I said in my previous post, Lara didn't companions on screen eating away at the memory (or whatever hair movement affects) too. This is a party based game so you have to expect a little less wavy movements in your hair than a game that focuses on one character.

WIth Vivienne on the team, the QUnari pc screen shots, and this concept art of a black inquisitor. I dont think dark skin has been forgotten. I want to see how the ash/greyish skin looks on qunari now

Contrary to popular belief creating a dark skinned character has been possible. Even in DAO I was able to create an Amell Mage (choose that because no family was shown) which looked strikingly like former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman. It wasn't intentional, I was originally trying for Sam L Jackson, but when the face was developing I liked the gentler softer face look instead.

In general, I would like a few different lighting settings for the cc, like outdoor/indoor, night/day, so you can get a better impression of your character's appearance. It was always frustrating creating a lovely Warden or Hawke, only to come out of the cc with their skin paler and their make-up garishly bright.

A selection of lines to test the voice options would be good. That way we can hear them, and also see our character speak. Don't want to make a character that looks like they're chewing bees when they talk.

For the appearance customisation:

-more tattoos/face paint

-scars, freckles, moles, shadows beneath the eyes, realistic age lines (not the reanimated-dead look that's currently available).

-more eyebrow shapes, mouth shapes, eye shapes and nose shapes. ME had quite a few, though you couldn't alter them much.

-Morrigan, femHawke, maleHawke, Aveline's hair available for the Inquisitor. Please don't lock off the best hairstyles in the game.

-Better beards for men (nothing that clips through the jaw or makes them gaunt-faced)

-Inquisitor elf ears that stick out (like the model in the OP), not the stuck-to-the-head ones from Origins

-horn sizes for the Qunari, from non-existent, to chopped down (like Ketojan), standard size, and maybe even large like the Arishok

-unusual eye colours. DA2 introduced yellow and turquoise eyes, but it would be nice to have some more, like purple. The books mention that elves can certainly have them.

-earrings, like Duncan's, Isabela's or the Arishok's

-better make up. Eyeliner would be nice, like Isabela's, maybe in a couple of styles.

-better hair. Fewer dowdy styles, more nice short ones (Merrill's and Cassandra's were the only nice short ones available in DA2's cc). Curly/wavy hair. Long hair, perhaps in the form of a braid (like the femdwarf in the OP), or a high ponytail. A variety of fringes or partings, etc. More styles that are tied back, buns, braids, plaits, tails, etc. More shaved styles (the elves had one in DA2), cornrows (like Sten's, but for both men and women), dreadlocks, individual braids.

Ah... that's everything I can think of for now. The hair is the big one for me, since it's what we see the most.

Hair is still one of the hardest things to render correctly. TressFX was a step in the right direction, but even that has issues of it's own.

Personally, I don't need it flowy. I'm happy with a single long ponytail moving as a single object. Dragon's Dogma and Saints Row 4 both had a style like this. The SR4 one in particular was down to her lower back, and I don't think I experienced any dramatic clipping, despite the wide variety of clothing the main character could wear.

I hope the qunari has a good verity in horn options. I liked the DA2 eye colours but I would also like the option to not have eyes that look like they are glowing. It looked good on certain characters but it made some look a bit creepy when I don't think they were actually meant to.
