New screens and information.
Half a spoiler in the article. No real details mentioned but it reveals a plot point that you will face during the game.
Dang, that's pretty.
Also, it's really exciting to hear that they don't expect the entire game to be explored before the campaign is finished. Really interesting.
Lots of spoilers if you are concerned actually. It answers the question about what was spoilerific about the new artwork that was shown.

I would take that with a grain of salt. It will depend on how you play. If you get caught up in finishing the plot and don't waste time exploring-sure. If you really explore every nook and crany though you will still probably beat everything before the end.

9/10 things released about DAI make me do that.
This is one of them.
Anyone think that the DLC will be like ME2? Where it can be done at any time but it is also able to be done postgame with dialouge referencing that.

They can really only have a general idea, and that's what I'm going by. It says to me that they aren't afraid to really crank up difficulty or make you work for certain parts of the game.
In any case, this game is gonna have a ton of replayability for me because I am NOT a completionist.
Those pictures are beautiful! Is that the highlands?
I see neither screens nor information in the OP. Anyone feel like posting a (non-copyrighted) summary?
Thanks, wcholcombe.
I must admit that I wasn 't expecting the details to be so story-heavy (though I know that I only have myself to blame for asking), making a strong case to stop reading the forums as the release date grows closer.
Thank you, I appreciate it

Not any major major spoilers-regarding the plot anyway. Most of that is pretty normal fare for a rpg game like this.
No big key plot reveals in any of that. The part about the highlands was revealed more or less a month ago.
Thanks, wcholcombe.

Well, technically, they have hinted at that for like a year already. Just not that bluntly.
Cameron Lee should get nicknamed The Spoiler though.

However, I'm a litle bit - or rather much concerned about this. It seems to me that this could be like the gameplay in Heroes of Might and Magic in which you have captains leading your armies, collecting gold etc. to strengthen your army etc. It also seems to me that this game might just be some sort of rpg/rts combination. I'm not very fond of those, I must admit. Mainly because I am too busy with the main story to pay attention to the rts section/portion of the game. I do hope that my thoughts about this is proven wrong come October 2014...

We don't know anything about how armies will play out or be used, but so far they largely seem to be an optional segment with you being able to do the party combat of traditional DA games for the entire game if you wish.

I'm not worried about this. I foresee BioWare blurring the line between npc and companion. I think they will be kind of like companions who help you in a non-combat capacity. It even mentioned skill trees for them, so you'll be able to adjust their role to your preferred flavor. This is also why I have no problem with npc LIs.
Aw, missed the link. I guess I'll have to wait a month.
