So I've got a big cutscene where a wounded villager asks the player and his pals to go rescue his daughter. Mid way through I want one of the companions to Cure Light Wounds on him, but up to that point he needs to be battle weary.
During the convo, I have things like the companions walking between waypoints, and pointing and stuff, and they all work but I can't get the villager to act  injured. I've tried all sorts of variations on the "injured" animations in the convo menus but he just seems to be fine and dandy.
Should I be doing this through a script on the villager, or via the animations? and if the animations is the way forward, any ideas what I'm doing wrong.

Further info:

*The villager was created using the creature creator add on tool, so comes with the default scripts that that gives up.

* The cutscene convo is attached to the villager, (he is c_sandoval and the convo is con_sandoval) I've tried putting the animations on both <OWNER> and also adding the tag of the villager to the list, and putting the animation on him that way, and neither way works.

It's probably something dead obvious, (as usual) but I can't for the life of me work it out.

Try the animation menu on the nod options maybe. I never knew the difference between these two, but the one I tell you works for me. If nothing works try make him play it via a script. ga_play_custom_animation, and here's the list of the strings.

The injured animation has worked fine for me, at least on humans. Is the villager one of the standard humanoid models? Or is he a custom-built model?

What happens if you force the villager to play the injured animation via it's heartbeat script?

Are you playing animations via the GA_ action scripts (ga_play_animation, ga_play_custom_animation), or are you trying to use the animation windows in the conversation editor? I'm pretty sure the latter don't actually work in NWN2 (they might be left over from NWN).

One of the two ways of specifying animation in the conversation editor does work, though possibly inconsistently.  I tend to use the script so that I always know where to look for the animation later, though.
