This is probably the first time I have not brought Liara on the Surkesh mission when Wreav was around. So I heard a new line of dialogue from Shepard that I had a question about. When Shepard asks Wreav if the Krogan are ready to fight the Reapers and Wreav replies "That's like asking if Asari are ready to mate," Shepard responded "On behalf of Liara I am officially offended." Question: do you get a different line from Shepard if Liara is not your girlfriend?

No.

I got that line yesterday during my playthrough and it really pi**ed me off. I wanted femshep to laugh at the comment. I looked on youtube and never found a video of him saying that. I've seen another video showing the responses of the squadmates.

I liked what Javik said to Wreav when I asked about the situation on Tuchanka. Wreav said that the Reapers were taking it slow on Tuchanka because they knew that when the Krogan entered the war their days were numbered. Javik replied that his people felt that way at first but it was stupid to think that way. Wreav then asked "And how many Protheans are left?" Javik's response? "Enough to kill you." Zing!

I consider that more of Javik being awesome than Wreav getting put in his place. Honestly, anyone with Wreav in their game would kill that ******* just for looking at them cross eyed or derpfaced.

All in all, an interesting take on Surkesh. First time I took neither of the ME1 squadmates, at least with Wreav. I may have done non-ME1 squadmates with Wrex, but I don't remember. The goal was to hear dialogue that would otherwise have been missed because one of the ME1 squadmates was around.

Besides the above mentioned dialogue:

1) When meeting Mordin Javik commented that he talked funny. Mordin instantly recognized Javik as a Prothean and approved.

2) All the comments related to the Yahg were voiced by EDI. For instance, when Shepard said "there goes the next Shadow Broker" EDI said "Dr. T'Soni would not be amused."

3) Javik had a few other lines I can't remember. Not sure they were unique to only this squad make up though.

You should hear the dialogue between Kirrahe and Javik. Kirrahe doesn't believe Javik is Prothean.

Sur'Kesh is all in all, one of the best missions. The only things that could have made it better was Kirrahe as a squadmate. And less talk about Liara.

You get that whether you have an ME1 squadmate or not.
