Anyone else hope that before the moment of the breach and us getting blown into the Fade we'll have some time to meet and chat with the people there.
Kinda similar to Ostagar in DAO
I hope so. If they are going to kill off some of my favorite EU characters, I at least want to meet them. ![]()
Well if they do at least they will confirm what characters died and what didn't.
At least divine died and some mages great incompetent woman out of my way and reason for folks to blame mages.
I would really like the chance to talk to everyone and see what the political climate was before the blast. It would be great if it were similar to Ostagar.
I almost guarantee they will if for no other reason it's an easy way to introduce new players to the backdrop.

Maybe we'll get to fight some demons before hand too, to give it more of an Ostagar feel ![]()

And those of us who had difficulty getting through the novels. (not so much the writing, more that it seems like the last time anything positive happened in Thedas it was the Blight ending fast. Gonna continue to attempt Asunder and Masked Empire. Could not care less about Maric and Loghain if I were putting effort into it.)
Like some demons start pouring out and you find a weapon that matches your class laying around.
Actually, that would be quite a twist because it would mean that the Breach started to open even before the explosion.

Actually, I think the combat may start when we meet Varric. Makes more sense for his "Watch yourself. It's raining demons out here." line to be during the first combat part.
Yes, and I hope there will be dialogue such as this:
"The Divine is very hopeful with these talks. The Mage leadership appears willing to negotiate...Lambert's sucessor is more reasonable than I expected him to be. Hearing him speak, one really believes that there is a middle ground between our freedom and their safety...And I wish it to be known that corruption will be as closely watched for in our ranks as amongst the mages. I will not tolerate Templars abusing their authority..."
And then BOOM!
Like some demons start pouring out and you find a weapon that matches your class laying around.
Also would like to meet one of the big bad, easily figure out that he is up to no good, and remain completely befuddled through out the whole game, as to why no one else figured out his obvious obligatory betrayal .... *points at Loghain*

I wouldn't mind something like that lol ![]()
I'm expecting this to happen, yea.

I won't be surprised if that happens....we chat with them, get to know them just a bit,we might even already know a few who are there, then BAM! They are all dead! THE FEELS!!!!! ![]()
Because y'know BioWare likes to see their customers in tears! ![]()
I really hope so. Some of the people maybe characters from the books. It also nice to have the player connect with some of the people before they die.
Suddenly I'm worrying about an ME3 type opening where most of the beginning is a passive sequence with no free exploration. WELL DONE.

That's a huge concern for me. Because Mass Effect 3 opening even without the trial could have been so much better if we were allowed to talk to Anderson, Vega, VS, and other Alliance people.
I hope in DA:I we have the option to talk(and by talk I don't mean auto dialogue, I mean real conversations) with a lot of the people at the Summit, but also the option to skip right to the explosion, so on second and third playthroughs, don't have to spend 20-30 minutes talking with everyone.
Um... I confess I can never stop myself from talking to absolutely everyone no matter what playthrough I'm on. First... second... thirteenth... It's a sickness. It really is.
Sometimes I will even go through all the investigative dialogue options only to skip through the responses. Just so, I dunno, I can tell myself I've "done" it all. Compulsive completionism ftw.

Well that could be Varric just making a joke too
Its going to be
Blah blah maybe we can reach a peaceful solution then
everybody looks at sky, grey clouds gather with strange constant thunder!
and then
*BOOM*
Blast kills everybody, Inquisitor gets sucked into the fade
we get the first fade sequence then things get dire but lo here comes Flemeth and saves our asses.
We get out and there Cassandra finds us!
And the dead bodies begin to animate so here we will have our first party combat!

Luckily with the different races, the dialogue will change up a bit
