It's not really an official moment, but I got a 'Gather your party and venture forth?" message upon leaving the final coronation, only to get the epilogue slides.
It was actually the cruelest bug of all time.

Leaving home. Except maybe the alienage.
Finding Cailan's body
Romancing Cullen and leaving him behind
Seeing Dad in the gauntlet
But most of all - Alistair dying at the end (I know there had to be an Alistair moment) I went to bed and sulked ![]()

she has been with you throughout the Mages Tower quest, and having survived Ostagar understands the totality of what was lost there, and, more, understands that despite who you are and everything you have lost, you continue to fight.
This is the first conversation about the Wardens loss with anyone.
Wynne in the end is the only character that gives any sympathy for the Warden's loss....

Just came here to say this. Didn't romance him, but still.
Also felt really bad for Arl Eamon when you see him in the Fade worrying about Connor.
Ruck.

Ostagar, Duncan's realization that Loghain had abandoned them.
That look of pure hopelessness after killing the ogre that killed Caillan
I think he was just confused. I stole a silverite rune and a potent health potion from him. He's probably thinking "WTF? Where they'd go?!"

And morrigan going through the eluvian in the witch hunt as bff. It just seems so final that I will never see my friend again.

Finding the bodies of Oren and Oriana, followed by Eleanor lamenting the loss of her only grandson.
Ruck.

I've never been entirely sure how to deal with that situation. The white lie seems like the best way, but I dunno.

Tomas' death. I didn't think a random NPC would get to me so much.

Hang on, is Tomas the bloke we see saying goodbye to his family, then later on having his throat slit? Tomas, noooo...

Yeah. At first it didn't register, but then I remembered him when I saw his face again just before the hurlock slit his throat.

Tomas? Really? I always felt for that guy seeing the army coming like avenging angels and then he's dead - but was that Tomas? Wouldn't that have been a Denerim soldier? Redcliffe would have been with the charging army and Tomas with them. Yes? Yes?
Another sad (shocking) moment was when I first played and couldn't find Valena in Redcliffe castle. I came back to Redcliffe later and found Owen had hung himself.
The little boy in Lothering looking for his mother.
Hearing that Alistair had to sleep with the hounds and in the stables in the hay - the way that Maric, Eamon, Isolde and the gc treated that guy ![]()

I think of Danya in the Brecilian Forest. She's a Dalish Elf who has become a werewolf but has enough of her sanity to beg you to put her out of her misery and tell her husband, back at the Dalish camp, that she loves him. She talks, trying to have some breath to speak but she is in great pain and yet still trys to answer your questions … should you decide to grant her request, she will use her last breath to thank you. She may be gone to a better place, but that doesn't make the conversation or the final mercy any easier

Speaking of werewolves, its only partly connected to DAO.. but the aftermath if you sided with them in DAO. The quest in DA2 depresses me greatly. The curse still exists, but the wolves are struggling to find something alleviate the symptoms. They see themselves as heroes now, since they helped the Warden fight the blight... but they are still cursed indefinitely. Marthari somehow knows that Zathrian is to blame, but she can't do anything to help them.

Isolde killing Connor, if you decide against going into the Fade. Went that route just once for science.
The death of Niall in the Circle Tower.

Niall? Really? I can never resist the sarcastic line. When he wonders if his mom would be proud.
"Well, you died in an interesting manner, I guess."

I felt sorry for him. I tried to rush through the last portion of the Fade puzzle when he mentioned how he was slipping away. I held a moment of silence for Niall after I left the Fade.
