I don't think I've even used it yet.

I need to check where the head gib var is set then. That's very interesting. My original statement may be wrong.

I'm pretty sure somebody said the GI could AoE the heads off mooks with a running heavy melee pulse. I'd imagine drell could do likewise.
Only one way to find out...

How did you do that? I've tried to my-self and this didn't give me decapitation on any enemy.

GI HM will as long as you sprint cancel into the base HM.
Fury is pretty lulz if you're experimenting on them though.

He has the Bat Gauntlet but is canceling with sprinting into the default HM. It retains the Bat Gauntlet ability to gib the heads.

@Deerber. Yes as long as the melee is sufficent to kill the enemy. I think it works on most if not all kits.

The Batarian heavy melee actually grants 75% DR, not 90%, so it's less of a reduction with the Gauntlet.
correct but the DR stacks with blade-armor DR, so most players get an effective 90%

And with charge, actual temporary invulnerability.

^As long as BA is leveled for 40% DR.
The rest is always the same DR amount regardless of evo.

Its best on a Volus. Junk punch that smashes skulls.

When you equip the Bat Glove, your kit will performed its default heavy melee if you press the melee button while sprinting.
Just for the sake of attribution. This head gib video is not mine, it is the internet's. ![]()

Oh, running melee = sprint canselling? I tried kroguard's running melee with bat glove, but it working as usual krogan's melee without glove. All heads on shoulders. ![]()

82%, not 90.

What's up with the gauntlet on the Warlord? I was using it yesterday and got the 25 biotic kills medal.
Biotic hammer charges cause your melee kills to deal biotic damage, this damage registers kills as biotic kills.
It's more than likely that the gauntlet carries / uses any hammer charge you currently have active and that that the biotic portion of the damage dealt sufficient killing blows to net you the medal.

I wonder whether this uses the default values or gauntlet values for melee damage and damage reduction?

Are you on PC? I just did the same with a kroguard+graal+omniblande and it definitely worked on all geth except troopers (i.e. low health, ohk). It may have worked on troopers too, but it was hard to tell since they were getting ragdolled across the map.
I tried with the assguard right after that and sprint cancelling didn't work at all. Press melee while running and nothing happens. Oh well. Still fun to charge & falcon punch with the little lady though.

82%, not 90.
It's an actual 90. If you want to say any other number it would be 50%.

You're both ignoring the third source of DR he gets, which is a bit like building a bridge either 82% or 90% across a river and calling it done.
My bridge spans 110% when I batguard.
edit: or perhaps we are not just talking about the batguard.
meh, my bridge is still bigger.
