First off, apologizes if this has already been discussed or suggested.

I find that the more you can customize in a game, whether it is your character, a vehicle, a pet, or whatever, the more attached you are to the object and the game. I for one can’t get enough customization in games so with that in mind I have a suggestion. I know it’s probably too late to actually add this in the game or it very well could already be in it for all I know, but I think it would be cool to be able to customize your Inquisition faction colors and armor.

From what I’ve seen of in game footage it looks like your faction color is red, from the coloring of the cloth portions of your forces armor. While I probably would have picked this color anyways, as I imagine any fan of Monty Python would, I think it would be cool if you could pick a different color. If you wanted to present a more sinister Inquisition you could pick black or if you wanted to a more typical “white knight” look you could go for white. An assortment of colors for your preference and for whatever mood you may be in.

On the second part of that suggestion I also think it could be cool if you could pick the armor style your Inquisition forces wore. In my head it works like at whatever point in the game you get control of or form the Inquisition you have a choice of a couple of armor sets to start from.  As the game progresses you can unlock more options as quest rewards or achievements. Like if you finished a long quest chain and finished it with some kind of “evil” resolution you could unlock a sinister looking armor set for your Inquisition forces. Another example would be if you sided with the Tevinter imperium at the end of another quest chain you could unlock some Tevinter Imperium themed armor set. These choices of customization could be manage at an “armorer” character at your keep and could be changed often as you would like. So whenever you go out into the world or in your keeps you can see your Inquisitorial forces doing whatever in some cool armor that you picked. The possibilities are really quite vast. I think this combined with the color customization would really increase people’s attachment to the Inquisition and thusly increase their enjoyment of the game.

On a more mercenary note you could also do some DLC armor sets that people could purchase for a couple of bucks that aren’t available in game. I don’t necessarily like this method, but companies seem to like doing this kind of DLC so it could be a good selling point for this feature.

I don’t post a lot so apologizes for any grammar or spelling mistakes. Thank you.

Its been confirmed that you can change the "colors" of your inquisiton. (Alot of jokes have been made about the "pinkquisition") Not sure about the customization of troop armor though. I think at most we'll be able to upgrade their armor like for example : start out with iron, upgrade to steel, upgrade to red steel, etc.

I hope for more customization though. Some sinister looking armor sounds pretty cool  :D

Ah, cool. Good to know that there is at least some level of customization of your Inquisition. Even if it's just the colors, I'll take what I can get.  :P  For my Inquisitions armor set, in an ideal world, I would want some kind of mirrored masked Inquisition armor where their masks graphically reflect stuff. Like if your character was having a conversation with one of them a somewhat distorted image of your characters face could be seen in the mask.

Fully agree with this. I'd love to be able to have a particular colour scheme and to be able to tweak the armour style of the Rank & File troops, even if it's just a little bit. Although if they were allowed to get really creative you could even add in different tabard or loincloth styles....

As for what was confirmed at PAX, what they mentioned regarding colour coordination was, I think, referring to the companions. But they did mention, together with your strongholds that they wanted it to be, "Your Inquisition". And they were very supportive of the idea of customization which is very encouraging.

So if this hasn't been considered yet, I certainly hope they look at it.

Would it help the art department's motivation if we said they're awesome? :P
