Not to compare the Mass Effect Franchise to it's contemporaries but rivals can help each other better their game ( no pun intended). Bungie with the Halo Franchise made a trilogy than took a break before designing Halo 4 and instead made Halo 3 ODST & Halo: Reach. Capcom is sort of notorious for delaying the inevitable numerical release of their top games. From all the Street Fighter 2 Upgrades back in the day released, before they finally developed SF3. For the Resident Evil Franchise this is SOP in a good way. They never seem to be in a hurry to make the next game in the franchise that bears a number instead of a subtitle. We got Resident Evil: Revelations before were getting RE 7. And before that Umbrella Chronicles and etc came out before RE 5.
So why is BioWare so different? So opposed to doing what thier competitors have done so successfully? Why are they in such a rush to make a new Mass Effect Franchise?! I know it's now been two years since ME 3 was released but the original trilogy still has so much potential.
For the life of me. I find it hard to understand or comprehend how it is that Dragon Age: Orgins recieved such a massive Expansion Pack like Awakening, but Bioware's most financially and critically successful game franchise the Mass Effect Trilogy. Has recieved none. Now don't get me wrong. I'm a big fan of DAO. However I for one am not all that interested in Mass Effect 4. If BioWare are planning on continuing with giving us Annoying...INFURIATING

... Binary Choices and Auto-Dialogue. Now without further ado, here are my ideas for the
Mass Effect Trilogy: Expansion Packs -
Mass Effect 1:
- Upgraded Graphics: I don't even know if this is possible, but it would be cool to have the option of going from Mass Effect having Photo-realistic graphics to Cell-shaded graphics.
- New Background Option for Commander Shepard: He or she comes from a very powerful and influential family like the Kennedy's. Who have made a name for themselves in galactic business/commerce and politics. And Shepard is the 'Black Sheep' of the family (like Dr.John Carter was on ER) for enlisting in the Systems Alliance military.
- More detailed Psyche Profile. Decide Shepard's interest, ideology and hobbies. And have the choices you make effect dialogue options here and there.
-The Road to N7: In ME3 the Codex mentions this:
Interplanetary Combative's Training (ICT) is the Systems Alliance's premier school for leadership and combat expertise. The Interplanetary Combative's Academy, sometimes called "N-School" or "the villa," recruits officers from every branch of Earth's military to partake in grueling courses at Vila Military in Rio de Janeiro.
Initially, candidates train for more than 20 hours per day, leading small combat teams through hostile terrain with little sleep or food. Trainees who do well are awarded an internal designation of N1 and are invited to return. Subsequent courses - N2 through N6 - are often held off-planet and include instruction in zero-G combat, military free-fall (parachuting), jet-pack flight, combat diving, combat instruction, linguistics, and front-line trauma care for human and alien biology.
The highest grade of training, N6, provides actual combat experience in combat zones throughout the galaxy. If the trainee survives these scenarios in "admirable and effective fashion," he or she finally receives the coveted N7 designation. N7 is the only ICT designation that may be worn on field or dress uniforms.
There is little shame in failing an N course - the training is so extreme that even qualifying for N1 elevates an officer to a position of respect. The universal prestige of merely attending the academy helps to restrain trainees from taking excessive risks in pursuit of higher honors.
Although ICT qualification by itself does not guarantee higher rank, those officers who are able to complete the program are typically well suited to senior leadership positions
Experience Commander Shepard's ascension to the rank of N7 along with his Career Highlight! Survivor/Ruthless/War Hero. Spend time with Shepard's family and friends on Mindoir before all hell breaks loose. Have adventures on Earth in the gang that Shep joined. Hang out with Joker on Arcturius Station as a Spacer.
- N7 (Class-specific) Armor: Example - Soldier N7 Armor grants 25% weapon damage, shields and health. Adept or Engineer N7 Armor grants 30% Power Damage & Recharge.
- N7 Class-specific mission: One or more missions in which Commander Shepard's paticular skill sets are highlighted.
- Updated Codex: Krogan, Turian and Quarian.
I always felt the krogan look like they could really jump. They have very powerful legs, big thighs and calf muscles to support their weight. Something about there legs reminds me of how a flea can store energy in its legs to propel itself great heights and distances. In ME 3 Urdnot Wrex speaks of the krogan 'airdrop' . Let's make it reality. The krogan horde, headbut and charge are feared battle tactics. Can you imagine a 500 to 800 pound krogan lunging at you threw the air and trying to pounce on you like a jungle cat! The codex now says that the average krogan can jump over 10 meters (32 feet) high and far. When one of Saren's krogan allies tries to krogan airdrop you, your squadmates will give you a heads up and a button screen promp to dodge will appear. If you fail to get out of the way in time, if your Shepard's health, shields and armor rating are not high enough it can be an instant kill. After pouncing on you the krogan will finish you off with a krogan headbutt.
Turians legs always made me think that they have great running speed. Nihlus spoke about how he travels faster on his own, at Eden Prime. So now the Codex says that the average turian can cover the distance of a 100 yard dash in 3 seconds!
Quarians enviro-suits do more than protect them from enviromental hazards. There suits enhance thier strength on average 3 to 5 fold.
- Alternative Reality: What if Commander Shepard failed to save Tali Zorah, prove that Saren Arterius had gone rogue and become the first human Spectre? How would the story play out?
As Shepard can say to Udina and Anderson after first meeting with The Council after the events of Eden Prime: "We have to deal with Saren and the Geth ourselves." And that's what they do. (You can still recruit Garrus and Wrex) Since the Council offers no aid or intel, all the Alliance has to go on is that the geth have attacked the human colony of Zhu's Hope. So that's where Shepard and Co. goes. And at Zhu's Hope Shepard encounters and recruits Shiala, and through her Shep learns of Matriarch Benezia and Noveria. The Alliance sends Shepard there under false pretenses of wanting to do business. And while there Shep & Co. confront Benezia and she tells Shepard about the geth and krogan who have gone to fetch her daughter on Therum. The tricky part is, how does Shep find out about Virmire without the Council. The answer: The Shadow Broker. Then we come to Illos. And this time Shep does not have to mutiny. He has the Alliance full support. For they are all but one step away from closing their embassy on the Citadel. Commander Shepard also helps forge the human/quarian alliance. By speaking to Tali Zorah's father and telling him of how the turian Spectre Saren Arterius is responsible for his daughters death.
- New Squadmate: Shiala, Asari Commando
- Co-op ( Resident Evil 5 & 6 style), Alternative Playable Characters (Dragon Age: Orgins style, but only Shepard can give combat commands).
- 4 New potential love interest for Male Shepard: (New) Tali, Emily Wong, Kaiden and Shiala. 3 for FemShep: Garrus, Shiala and Jeff "Joker" Moreo!
- More Interactive Environments: Platforming/Free Running, Training Room aboard the Normandy: Exercise Area (That enhances physical performance: Hit a punching bag to increase melee power. Lift weights to increase carrying capacity.), Combat Sim and Full-Contact Sparring as Garrus describes to Shepard in Mass Effect 2. Sit in any unused chair, couch, desk or relax on your bed (in multiple positions).
- Omni Tool Access: Search the Extranet, Read articles, Research Persons of Interest, Play Vids, Music, Take Pictures, Talk to NPC, Use the fabricator for Arts & Crafts, and upgrade your onmi-tools weapon and defense capabilities.
- Shopping: In ME1 Commander Shepard can become a multi-millionare through the spoils of war. When you first arrive at the Citadel while C-Sec is investigating the charges against Saren Arterius, Commander Shepard can explore the Citadel; Rent or Buy a place to live on the Presidum and the Wards. Furnish your apartment in various ways. Purchase Holographic Scenery, Paintings and Sculpture Maker. Buy new clothes and accessories, cutomize your wardobe (Start out with Shepard's Casual Wear from ME3 and his N7 Hoddie and be able to put the hood on or take it off). Buy a Skycar and free roam travel aboard the Citadel in it.
- Casual Wear: For all squadmates.
- New Combat Vehicle: Nihlus Turian Fighter!
- More Dynamic Combat: (ME3 style play) Melee moves, Counter, Blind-fire, QTE and...
- Space Combat! Garrus speaks of the Normandy SR1 potential on the elevator in ME1. Time to experience it.
- Space Weather: Within interplanetary and interstellar space travel aboard the SSV Normandy. Everthing from geomagnetic storms to potential radiation damage to spacecraft charging.
- Virmire Survivor New Option: Now either Kaiden, Ashley, Tali or Garrus can be the one to not leave the planet alive.Interestingly enough in Mass Effect 3 Tali Zorah talks to Kaiden or Ashley over the intercom about what if she had been the one to stay and guard the bomb on Virmire. After what happens to Lieutenant Tarquin Victus on Tuchanka.
- New Ending: The Council disbanded? Quarian/Human Alliance! Since the Council refused to help humanity fight the geth. The Systems Alliance turned to those who have the most history and experience fighting the geth. The quarians.
The rest of the galaxy may shun the Migrant Fleet. But not humanity. The politically savvy and military elites see the Sleeping Giant that the quarians are and how much stronger and influential both groups could be if they joined forces. The humans Infantry along with the quarians Fleet make for a mighty force to be reckoned with.
The alliance between the two is secured by the Systems Alliance promise to help the Migrant Fleet retake their home-world from the geth.During the Battle of the Citadel. While the Council and Citadel Fleet are abandoning the station. Which was the seat of thier government for over two thousand years. The Alliance & Migrant Fleet move in...
Now on to -
Mass Effect 2:
New features - Show don't tell, Spoils of War, The show must go on, Buy & Sell, Alternative Playable Characters, Co-Op, New Crew Members, Alternative Reality, New Choices, Dialogue & Interactive Cutscenes, More Interactive Enviroments, New Combat Moves & Vehicles, Post-Suicide Mission Content & Upgraded Graphics.
- Upgraded graphics: Switch from photo-realistic graphics to cel-shaded.
"Show don't tell." Many of your squad-mates tell you very interesting and exciting stories about some of the most eventful moments in their life. Jacob Taylor, Garrus/Archangel, Jack, Samara, Thane, Kasumi, Liara.
During the Prologue after Shepard's death the story now picks up with Dr. Liara T' Soni as a playable character on her quest to retrieve Commander Shepard's body inspired by Mass Effect: Redemption. After you complete the video game version of that 4 Issue Comic Book. The Prologue returns to Shepard's Awakening at the Lazarus Project (or before that, Garrus Post Battle of the Citadel life on Omega ending with the merc bands uniting to take him and his crew down).
- Show don't tell: (Unlockable Alternative Playable Characters akin to Joker on the Normandy during the Collector attack)
1. Dr. Liara T' Soni Mass Effect Redemption: video game version.
2. Jacob Taylor's Career Highlights: Begin at the Battle of Eden Prime. Spend some time as a Corsair. Then on to the Mass Effect Galaxy adventures.
3. Garrus/Archangel's recruitment of 12 person squad and combat missions on Omega: Mass Effect: Homeworlds story arc.
4. Subject Zero/Jack's Career Highlights: One of the things that impresses me so much about her, is that she is so young (born in 2161) yet she has had such an eventful life! Escape from the Teltin facility on Pragia. Liberation from slave labor. Spend some time with Jack as a gang member and cult member. As well, time with the outlaw colony and that couple she was in cohoots with for a while. Theft of a military spacecraft - Destruction of a space station - Piracy - Vandalisim - Revenge on the prisoners and guards who mistreated her at Purgatory. Loss of her lover.
5.Samara's Adventures: She fought tyrants and pirates as a mercenary. As a justicar she destroyed villages and saved cities. Tussled with Nihlus the Spectre. Thrawted the Collectors. And freed and lectured slaves. Live a 'Day in the life' of Samara.
6.Kasumi Goto's Career Highlights. On each node in her quarters on the Normandy SR 2. Ms. Goto tells Shep a story of one of her adventures.
7. Zaeed Masani: From Jesse to the krogan trophy helmet to the model turian warship and what else he tells you. This is a guy with one hell of a combat record.
8. Thane Krios Career Highlights: Training as an assassin. Various assignments across the galaxy. Wetwork on the Citadel and Omega. Avenge his wife's murder.
9. Yeoman Kelly Chambers: Interact with your crew and squadmates from her perspective. After each recruitment mission, when you return to the Normandy, you get an intermission as Ms. Chambers interviewing your new squadmate.
10. Urdnot Wrex ascension to Clan Chief on Tuchanka.
- Omni Tool Access: Search the Extranet, Read articles, Research Persons of Interest, Play Vids, Music, Take Pictures, Talk to NPC, Use the fabricator for Arts & Crafts, Analayze enviroments and upgrade your omni-tools offensive and defensive abilities.
- Alternative Reality: What if Commander Shepard decided to not go out of his way to save Joker during the Collector attack that occured one month after the Battle of the Citadel?!
When your about to go and save Joker your given the option to try and save him or leave. If you choose 'Leave' Jeff's voice comes on over the intercom and he tells you to leave the ship and he will try to distract the Collectors with the Normandy as long as he can.To give you and the crew more time to get out of harm's way.
Jeff 'Joker' Moreo dies, Shepard lives... In this version of Mass Effect 2, since Shepard isn't dead he or she comes into contact with Legion alot sooner. The Geth as a show of good faith offer to rebuild the Normandy. Shepard is already hunting down the Collectors before they even begin to abduct human colonist in the Terminus Systems. But he needs a ship and crew. The Council attempts to give Shepard other Spectre assignments. You have to decide to complete them or resign as a Spectre in order to go after the Collectors with the geth.
Cerberus can still play a prominent role in the story. If you remain as a Spectre the Council authorizes Commander Shepard to infiltrate Cerberus Command in order to find out what there up to and destroy them if necessary. During Shepard's time with Cerberus, the Collectors start attacking human colonies in the Terminus Systems. So destroying Cerberus takes a back seat to helping them defeat the Collectors and save humanity.
- New Choices:
Heretic Station - In the Normal or Alternative ME2 Reality if you decide to not be reinstated as a Spectre. You now have the option of claiming Heretic Station for yourself! Since Legion left thier fate up to you, Shepard tells Legion (if you choose this option) "The geth heretics caused great harm to organics all over the galaxy.I would see them make restitution!." Your crew argue with you over this decision but Shepard tells them: "The decision I made here is not about power. Its not about greed. Its about freedom. I'm through with begging and pleading like some NPO with the Council , the Alliance or Cerberus to give us what we need to fight the real enemy."
All the resources and gethpower of Heretic Station is now at your disposal. Commander Shepard is now in possession of the largest synthetic army (2.4 million geth platforms, plus geth warships) in the galaxy! Permitting Real-Time Strategy deployment of geth forces and real-time combat geth assistance. Order the geth under your command to retrofit Heretic Station to support organic life. Create new geth platform models. Shepard's power and influence on the galactic stage now rivals Cerberus, Aria T' Loak and The Shadow Broker. The Council and Alliance have no official comment concerning former Spectre Commander Shepard's new radical autonomy.
Grunt: A child with two fathers: It occured to me after watching Man of Steel (for like the 3rd or 4th time) that Grunt is very similar to Kal-El in some ways. Where Kal-El/Clark Kent has his Kryptonian birth father Jor-El's instruction and influence on his behavior and the same with his Earthinian father Jonathan Kent.
Grunt has Okeer & Shepard. I really like Dr. Okeer. And I think he was grossly underused in ME2. It would have been a good move to have him on the Normandy butting heads with Dr. Mordin Solus and competing with Commander Shepard for primary attention and influence in his son's life.
- New Dialogue:
Respond to some of your text messages. Example: Kate Bowman, post Stop the Collectors you can go visit her and her people on Terra Nova.
From: Kate Bowman
Shepard,
I called in some favours and found out how to get you and what you're working on. We've got a big celebration planned for the anniversary of you and the others saving Terra Nova. Last year we added a memorial for you, too. I guess that was premature, huh?
I figure finding out who's attacking colonies is why you had to go undercover, so I won't invite you to come and give a speech or anything. But I wanted you to know that all of us living on colonies are worried about what's happening in the Terminus Systems. And I'm really glad you're there to help. There's a lot of crazy military talk going around. I'm glad someone's there who's not going to take the easy way out.
Thanks.
Kate Bowman
Also, talk to former ME1 squadmates about thier inaction concerning the Reaper threat.
Interactive Cutscenes: As Joker piloting through the Omega 4 relay debri field. As Commander Shepard trying to save one of your squadmates who is falling to his or her death after defeating the Proto- Reaper. And escaping the Collector Base.
More Interactive Enviroments: Mass Effect 2 at times seems to have cutscenes where it shouldn't and no cutscenes where it should. I remember being very dissapointed that we didn't get to drive the krogan 'Tonka' Truck on Tuchanka. Instead all we get is a cutscene.

The same holds true with the Normandy Shuttle. How cool would it be to be able to pilot it out of the Normandy to whatever planet or space station your going to and bring it back.

Also, Access Deck 5 and travel to each deck by either using the Elevator or Maintenace Shaft as Joker did.
Moreover, Shepard should be able to sit at his desk, ( on any unused chair or couch, his bed - in multiple positions) access his Datapad and be able to leave text entries concerning your adventures. Access the extranet via his Private Terminal or any Public Extranet Terminal. Shepard's been dead for two years, you would think he would want to get caught up on what's been going on in the galaxy since his absense.. Instead of just asking NPC. Also in Shepard's Cabin either view your Model Ships or set the screen to Scenery Mode (like having a screensaver) add new decorations like holographic sculptures behind Shepard's bed. Dance with your love interest. Take pictures of your L.I. and with them. View them on the Photo - Pad on your desk. Cuddle on the couch or bed in different positions. Example: Rub Tali's feet on the couch.

- New Cutscenes: As I said ME2 (at times) has cutscenes where it shouldn't and no cutscenes where it should. With Shepard's Cybernetic Upgrades there should be cutscenes. The Heavy Bone Weave (Skeletal Lattice) Heavy Muscle Weave ( Microfiber Weave) and Heavy Skin Weave ( Lattice Shunting) which is a surgery broken up into 7 parts.
- New Combat Moves: Implementing what ME3 already has and adding new moves. (Xbox Controller) If you are holding a pistol or submachine gun and press Down & B, Shep does a powerful spinning elbow strike that staggers your opponent. If you press the same button with an assault rifle or shotgun in hand, Shep does a spinning back kick instead. If no weapon in hand Shepard can engage the enemy in Free-Flow Combat akin to Batman: Arkham City.
Also Grunt now has to new powers: Krogan Charge and Airdrop.
- The show must go on:
In to many video games failure is treated as not even being an option. Its either hit the Retry button or Stop playing. Screw that! In ME2 you can now fail recruitment and more loyalty missions.
Garrus can die on Omega. Jack can tell you to F- off on Purgatory. Et cetra. Squadmates who die during the Suicide Mission, Loyalty Missions can on some occasions still be completed. Call it taking care of some "Unfinished Buisness" for a friend. Also many of your squadmates have urgent personal request. If you don't handle them in time. They may snap, like Grunt feels he might. Or leave your crew. Like how Tali says she thought she would have to book passage on another ship.
- Buy & Sell: Element Zero, Paladium, Platinum, Iridium and Heavy Weapon Ammo. Buy Light/Heavy Mechs. You can now rent or buy a place to live on Omega and Illium. Decide your interior design. If you get on Aria's good side you gain access to the best living space on Omega! Purchase new clothes, accessories, gifts for squadmates. Every squadmate can aquire 'Casual Wear' New weapons and armor from Omega's Black Market can be purchased. Compete in a Fast & the Furios style skycar racing on Omega and Illium.
- Spoils of War: You can aquire far more credits during certain missions. Example: After defeating the Eclipse gang during Samara's recruitment mission; in thier base Shep can recover over 2.5 million credits! After defeating the Blue Suns at thier base in N7: Blue Suns Base, Shepard can aquire over 4 million credits! After retrieving the Reaper IFF, if you decide to give Legion to Cerberus, the cash bounty you recieve is 5 million credits!
The Normandy SR2 is nearly twice the size of the original SSV Normandy. So there is room for Acquisition: Commander Shepard can now use those levitating fork lifts (As seen in Garrus Recruitment & Loyalty Mission carrying Light & Heavy Mechs to the battlefield) to transport new resources to the Normandy! During the N7: Eclispe Smuggling Depot, N7: Hahne - Kedar Facility, N7: Archelogical Dig Site and N7: Blue Suns Base. You can now add new items to your arsenal.
1.Remote Contolled Light & Heavy Mech from N7: Hahne-Kedar Facility ( akin to how you controlled LM during Arrival DLC -- except now you can do so with your omnii-tool from a cover position. (Customize your mechs, tank, fighters and gunship.)
2. 080 Tanks from N7: Archelogical Dig Site. Keep one, sell the other. (Or sell both). It sells for 750, 000 Credits! More if you have high enough paragon or renegade points.
3. Fighter & Interceptor from N7: Blue Suns Base. Call in an air strike or at anytime on the Normandy get in one from Deck 5 and fly around in space for fun, destroy asteroids, race against crewmates through impromtu obstacle course. If you decide to sell one or all three. The price each indivudal vessel sells for is 1,500,000 Credits more with high P or R.
4. A-61 Mantis Gunship: From Donovan Hock. The Codex in ME2 speaks of how many different ways they can be customized. Purchase one out right from many different retailers.
The Gunship is driven by vectored-thrust engines. First rolled off the assembly lines in 2170, the Mantis remains in service in dozens of armies across the galaxy. Its modular construction means that the versatile Mantis can be reconfigured as a low-altitude gunship, a fighter, a high-altitude bomber, or even a single-stage-to-orbit spaceplane that can engage enemy craft around a planet or a space station. The only role the Mantis cannot perform is that of a true deep-space fighter, as it has no FTL drive.
The Mantis houses an element zero core which lightens the engines with a mass effect field, allowing it to take off vertically and hover in place using minimum fuel. This also gives it far greater range and speed than the helicopters and jump-jet aircraft that once filled its niche.
Standard defenses include heavy armor plating and kinetic barriers, though the latter are often removed by mercenary groups. It also houses a thermal decay system and an electronic countermeasures suite which help it to nullify surface-to-air attacks..
Standard defenses include heavy armor plating and kinetic barriers, though the latter are often removed by mercenary groups. It also houses a thermal decay system and an electronic countermeasures suite which help it to nullify surface-to-air attacks.
- New Non- Combat Crewmates: Kenn from Omega and Lia'Vael from the Citadel.
1. Kenn is a real badass! To call him a 'jack of all trades' is inaccurate. He's a true 'Renaissance Man'. What Kenn invents on Omega from salvage is amazing! Everthing from Cybernetic Upgrades (Heavy Skin Weave) to Starship Parts and Weapons Upgrades. If you recruit him. You gain acess to the Tech Lab even if you haven't recruited Dr. Mordin Solus yet. Kenn also helps Operative Jacob Taylor in the Armory, Ken & Gabby in Engineering and spends his time taking care of things in the Hanar Bay on Deck 5 where he keeps Normandy's vehicles in tip top shape. Kenn works on the A-61 Mantis Gunship reconfigurations. And also gives you access to weapon, armor, mech and vehicle modifications. He also creates mobilty enhancing jet boots for Commander Shepard!

So suffice to say Kenn is the highest paid recruit that serves on the Normandy Sr 2.
2. Lia' Vael works with Ken and Gabby in Engineering and in the CIC. I really felt sorry for her. I found it to make no sense at all why you couldn't do more for her. There's no reason why Tali has to be the only quarian crew member on the Normandy.
-Post-Suicide Mission Content: Be interviewed by either Galatic News ( Post Stop the Collectors) or Citadel News Net: Emily Wong ( if you recieve an email from her). In either interview Commander Shepard has the option of 'putting it all out there' from what really happened during the Battle of the Citadel. To the Council & Systems Alliance backtracking on committing resources and personel to neutralizing the Reaper fleet. And explain why Shepard has been associating with "criminals, killers, mercenaries and other dangerous elements". This interview sets up how Commander Shepard and his mission is perceived in Mass Effect 3.
Also as the Citadel DLC provided Shepard & Co. a chance to get together and celebrate and party. After surviving a suicide mission. They do like wise. On the Normandy and at that Las Vegas like luxury resort space station around the planet Tefnut.
After completing these two New Priority Mission - Post Suicide Mission. If you have not been reinstated as a Specte and if you kept the Collector Base the Yeoman, EDI or Joker tells you that "The Illusive Man would like to speak to you in the Debriefing Room." In this final meeting he makes you an offer and ask you a question. You have:
- A New Final Choice in Mass Effect 2: Join Cerberus. Return to the Alliance/Council or choose Autonomy. If you choose 'Independance' TIM won't hold it against you. In fact since you let Cerberus keep the Collector Base he gives you the Normandy SR2 as a parting gift.
Now... Finally, we come to:
Mass Effect 3: New features - Upgraded Graphics, Alternative Prologue, The show must go on, Get the hell off my ship, New Recruits, New Choices, Dialogue, Cutscenes & Consequences.

- Alternative Prologue: I'll never forget how Dragon Age: Orgins has six different prologues! And Mass Effect 3 only has one.

If your starting a New Game absent ME2 & 1 Save Imports the Default Prologue of ME3 is fine I suppose. But a Prologue that picks up right where ME2 leaves off (instead of six months later) could work wonders. Before ME3 came out, I was expecting the story to be about preparing for the Reaper Invasion not running around like a chicken with its head cutt off trying to get the rest of the galaxy to form an alliance against an enemy that's already decimating next to every habital sector of the galaxy. And I certainly didn't expect BioWare to make your family ally Cerberus into such a ubiquitous enemy in ME3.
- Upgraded Graphics: Choose to play the game in either photo-realistic graphics setting or cel-shaded.
- The Show Must Go On:
1. First and foremost Shepard & Co. should be able to fail to stop Dr.Eva from getting away with the Prothean Data. If the Infiltration Cerberus Fembot gets away then the Virmire Survivor never gets sidelined for the entire Tuchanka story arc and Grissom Academy mission. Given his expierence at Biotic Acclimation and Temperance Training at Gagarian Station. I still feel that it should be possible for Major Kaiden Alenko to be in your party when you go to Grissom Academy.
There are many ways Shep could fail to stop Dr.Eva from getting way. Being able to choose to send James away to cover the exits or keep him in your squad or Dr. Eva outruns Shepard and does a bait and switch where you have to give chase to one of two Cerberus shuttles.
2. The Genophage Immune krogan female can (now) die on Sur'kesh. Cerberus can kill her if you don't stop them and you don't have to "Retry" and it is not "Critical Mission Failure"
- Get the hell off my ship! Squadmates who have no plot relevence can be let go (so to speak). First up:
1. James Vega: You can now send him packing when you first arrive at the Citadel. In either a "I wish the best for you in your continued career in the Alliance" (sort of way) or a "Your reckless and dangerous. And after going on one combat mission with you. I don't care to work with you again. You may have impressed Anderson and passed his criteria for active duty on the Normandy SR2 but you haven't measured up to my standards! And that's all that matters.
2. Garrus Vakarian: Now look, I know Archangel has alot of fans. I've come to like him more now than I once did myself. But after he goes on and on about how General Adrian Victus shouldn't go and make nice in some boardroom. Going as far as saying "Without him here. We may lose this moon." It astounds me that just a few moments later he decides to abandon the fight on Palaven's moon himself. To join up with Shepard who didn't even ask him to. As you can decline Dr. Chakwas offer to return to active service on the Normandy. The same should apply to Garrus. You don't have to be mean about it, but right after Garrus says, "I'm with you." You get the option to respond: Welcome aboard or Stay here.
3. Tali (effing) Zorah: After what this b!tch did she should have her name stricken from the registry of the Normandy. E.M. Forester said, "If I had to choose between betraying my country and betraying my friend, I hope I should have the guts to betray my country." Tali betrayed everything Shepard & Co. are fighting for. She fought side by side with Legion, knew it (and by extension the geth) was Shepard's ally against the Reapers. And by the code of Shepard's Reinstatment into the Systems Alliance. Shepard is given authority to attack any and all adversaries of the Alliance and its Allies.
After the geth/quarian war is over and Tali says,"I'm coming with you." You are given the option of responding by saying: Glad to hear it or The hell you are! And if you choose the latter and not the former, Shepard says something like this:
"Tali, I'm glad that I was able to help you and your people. But you betrayed us... And that is not something that I cannot easily forgive or quickly forget. I wish you and your people well Tali but I want nothing more to do with you. And there is no way in hell that you will ever be allowed to serve on my ship!" Then Shepard gets up and walks away from her.

You see this picture right here? Yeah... see I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't think I'm the only who thinks Commander Shepard had the lamest squadmates ever in Mass Effect 3 !! In ME 2 Shepard got 10 New Squadmates. Men and women at the top of thier game, flashy, exotic, dangerous and interesting. In ME 3 Shep gets 3 New squadmates... and the only one I like is EDI. The other two are barely tolerable. I know Tali, Garrus and Liara have alot fans. And the Virmire Survivor has something or other, but this time around (in ME3) I have very little interest in reliving the 'good old days' or hearing someone say "Just like old times." No. Its time for Shepard to move forward.
C-Sec gets badmouthed alot in the ME franchise by Jenkins and Harkin in ME 1. But mostly by the disgruntled former C-Sec agent Garrus Vakarian. It has its supporters like Officer Lang and Exceutor Palin. And for my part I love C-Sec and after reading the codex entries concerning it. C-Sec comes across as a pretty badass organization. And if Commander Shepard was ever going to create his own dossier list. C-Sec would be the perfect palce to look for new recruits.
- New Recruits: When you first arrive at the Citadel in ME1, you can leave the station with three new squadmates. ME3 has the potential to do one better than that. After the turian councilor comes into Udina's office and speaks to Shepard and either reinstates or confirms that Shepard is still a Spectre and has access to high-end resources. You have an option...
Shepard begins ME3 with a skelton crew. C-Sec has over 200,000 constables. It can spare to part with four or more for Commander Shepard's mission. You can now recruit up to 4 (or more) squadmates from various divisions of C-Sec! By going to see Executor Chelick and using Spectre Authority to draft C-Sec Agents, some volunteer to serve on the Normandy. Others need to be convinced or conscripted. The 4 C-Sec Divisions you can choose C-Sec squadmembers from are:
Enforcement - Uniformed officers who patrol the Citadel and respond to emergencies. Officer Lang from ME1 is your choice.
Investigation - Detectives who puzzle out the truth behind crimes and bring perpetrators to justice. Your choices are: Detective Anaya (from Illium) a salarian male, drell male, and volus male or human male or female.
Network - Deals with "cybercrimes" like identity & copyright theft, hacking and viral attacks, and illegal artificial intelligence. You can recruit either a Salarian, Drell or Volus.
Special Response - Deals with hostage situations, bombs, and heavily armed criminals. In the unlikely event that attackers board the Citadel, they are also the front linee of defense, armed with military grade equipment. Your selection consist of:
Kal'Reegar (quarian male) who left the Migrant Fleet and joined C-Sec's Special Response Division post Tali' Trial. (Either with the fleets blessing or like Garrus leaving C-Sec, Kal got tired of the bs going on at the flotilla. Losing soldiers on missions like Halestorm and etc). Kal'Reegar should have been a squadmate (and L.I. for FemShep) in ME3. Instead all we got was a text message concerning him being K.I.A.
Other options: Krogan Battlemaster (Warhammer ME3 Multiplayer) Asari Huntress or Commando and Volus (wearing an Avatar like Mech suit into battle).
You can intially recruit a total of four new squadmates from C-Sec's ranks. More if you don't recruit Garrus, (you can assign someone from C-Sec's Naval Division to operate the Main Battery on the Normandy SR2). Tell James to "get the hell off your ship!" And the Virmire Survivor and Tali likewise. As Beyonce put it, "Don't you ever get to thinking... your irreplaceable."
Each C-Sec squadmember has a unique mission of thier own (like a Loyalty Mission in ME2) interacts with your crew, can go on combat missions with you (of course) Shepard can interact with them and like with Diana Allers, at anytime you can thank them for thier service, send them back to the Citadel and recruit someone else. Or keep them around to see how their whole story plays out aboard the Normandy SR2.
