So this is a replacement for the collectors addition, pink outfit.  Just drop the PCC into your \Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC\DLC_OnlinePassHidCE\CookedPCConsole\ folder or if you have not unpacked the DLC then you will have to replace it via the old way.  Also included are two textures that will replace the Liara2 and Liara2Glow textures under the Gui_Henchman_Images folder, you will need to use Texplorer to do that.  

I also replaced the dumb mask with a mod of the recon hood, see above. [[ Now available for Asari.]]  

Liara's face is my no makeup version, based off of Jean-luc, also no drawn on eyebrows!  It should be easy to fix back to the original if you want via TPF/DSS tools and a Liara face texture mod.  

If someone wants to try to make this into a mod feel free just give me cred.  But I am not sure how you would handle the hood textures as they should only change for this one PCC, if not it will change for all the meshes that use the dumb mask.  To get this to work I had to change everything to the recon textures, copy these 2 PCC's somewhere else, then change the textures back to the original mask and finally move the 2 PCC's I copied back as they had the hood textures still in them.

 

P.S. if someone knows how to change the color of the armor lights I'm all ears, for now you are stuck with yellow.

Hi, Bomma :)

 

I just tried this out on my newly vanilla'd and scanned game (rev640) and...no textures.  She's solid black.  Texplorer says it can't find CustTextures in some folder called re6. (???)  I can see the original textures fine when I put my backups in.  It's odd...

 

Would you be willing to put up (or send me?) the assets so I can install them straight myself?  Thanks! :)

Yeah sure.  I will upload the textures and stuff.  The helmet is a little wanky though to be able to get it to work you have to only install it on the PCC.  I will upload it with directions tonight.

Hey is the helmet mesh still there?  If so maybe I should only post the textures.  Adding the helmet to just on PCC was a hard process so it would be easier if it was still there.

Yeah, the meshes are all in fine, but the textures aren't recognized by Texplorer.  If it'll be easiest to just put up the textures, that'd be fine.   :)

Can't release PCC mods this way I'm afraid, people will lack the changes in custtextures0.tfc and with the reference broken textures will be black.

Fix by either releasing - a .mod replacing mesh + texture or

- creating a .tpf for the textures that can be applied through TPF Tools coupled with the PCC -textures or

- a mesh .mod coupled with a texture .tpf.

Now for the install.  First of all if you just want to update the uni and not the helmet it is pretty easy.  Use the ASA_ARM_LIAe textures and replace the corresponding textures located at BIOG_ASA_ARM_LIA_R/LIAe/ using Texplorer.  Remember to do the HGR file as well to make the headpiece dark. 

 

Now if you want to do that helmet here is the hard part. 

 

 

1. Export all the textures at BIOG_ASA_HGR_LIA_R\HGRa you will need them later.

2. Now update the textures there with the new ones I enclosed, even though they say HGR_LIAe. 

3. Replace the ASA_HGR_LIA_R\HGRe\ with ASA_HGR_LIAe_Diff_2048x2048.dds

3. Now goto \Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC\DLC_OnlinePassHidCE\CookedPCConsole\ folder and COPY both the BioH_Liara_02.pcc and BioH_Liara_02_Explore.pcc somewhere else. 

4. Now put back the textures that you exported at step one to BIOG_ASA_HGR_LIA_R\HGRa and this should restore everything.  (You don't have to do the LIAe folder)

5. Finally copy the two 02.pcc files that you copied at step 3 back to \Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\DLC\DLC_OnlinePassHidCE\CookedPCConsole\

 

So what you are doing is basically just changing the textures in the two PCCs.

 

This should work for any armor slot/pcc you change (though not tested) the only difference is you won't need to do step 3 as only the 02.pcc has the extra texture.

edit: They're in and looking good :)  Some needed mips, but that was easily fixed.  Thanks once more!

I understand that this is an old thread... but I'd rather go straight to the source with this.

 

So, I feel this is a really nice mod, conceptually! Liara doesn't have enough unique variation in armor types and the Asari commando fits her perfectly! I would very much like to implement this in my game, but I just cannot seem to get it to work!

 

So I'd prefer to use only the armor and recolored headpiece because the recon hood seems to have too many steps to implement and tbh, I don't want to hide Liara's face! So I downloaded the PCC's, textures for the character selection screen, and then the individual textures for the armor pieces linked at post #8. I tried manually replacing the PCC's as suggested by the OP and using Texplorer to replace the textures. The textures for the armor did not include any mips, so I generated some with DX Texture Tool. I then ran TOCbinupdater and launched the game. I tried starting a mission and noticed that her armor in the character selection screen remained unchanged. Upon attempting to go forward into the stats screen, the game just crashed on the load screen.

 

So, I vanilla'd and tried manually adding JUST the armor mesh using Meshplorer, exporting the meshes from the mod to PSK (exporting LOD 1-3), then going to the corresponding PCC in the game (actually, in DLC\DLC_OnlinePassHidCE\CookedPCConsole) and then manually replacing the armor/body mesh with the ones from the mod (again, importing the exported PSK of the meshes from the mod one by one into LOD 1-3). I then repeated the steps for the BioH_Liara_02_Explore.pcc file. I then tried manually adding the textures again via Texplorer. Ran TOCbinupdater. Same thing, doesn't show any changes in the select screen and crashes while loading before I can get to the stats screen (because then I could see if AT LEAST the meshes worked).

 

So to say that I'm stumped is a bit of an understatement. I'm no expert at modding (and tbh, getting to where I ultimately arrived took HOURS of research and trial-and-error). So if anybody could help me out and show me where I went wrong, I would very much appreciate it! I see that at least one person has been able to get this to work, so it could be something on my end. Any chance on getting someone to release this as a .MOD? Any help would be much appreciated!
