Does anyone know if there's an OST? I can't seem to find one and I want to give it a try and see if I judged it unfairly.

Apparently there is, but I've only seen individual songs on youtube.

Souls

Life

Miio

etc.

Looks like some (if not all) are performed by Iré (www.iremusic.com), composed and produced by Olivier Deriviere.

Ran into that bug too, word is it is being looked at.

Otherwise, I *only* had to back-track 1-2 hours, if that. Won't deny it's annoying, of course.

@ruggly - I just realized I was your post, and you were the friend I was talking about. LOL Disregard. :P

Yeah, that's a bug. Happened to a friend of mine. Even in non-bugged scenarios (like mine), it took a looooooong time for him to return. It was nearly the end of act 2.

From what I've read about it, there are several quests tied to it that you can't advance until Randval returns. If you have every other side quest done, and nothing happens when you go back to camp, and there are no new quests, you will probably need to load an earlier save.

The timing for accepting Randval's quest has to be before you head into the city (you may want to get confirmation; that's just what I read). If you don't do it then, that stupid bug will just sit there and fester, and you'll waste hours of time. I accepted his quest the first time I talked to him, as I wasn't using him as a follower anyway. ;)

Unfortunately, it will probably be closer to 4 hours of backtracking for me.  I'll eventually get to it, but I got sucked back into Guild Wars 2 in the meantime.

I am thinking of picking this up. I need a fun RPG to pass the time. Are the bugs game-breaking? Are the companions fun? Not much info online about it...

Some bugs can be quest-breaking so save often, not just quick-save mind you, manually save often or you'll find yourself loading a save game that's three hours old! As for the companions there really isn't that much interaction to speak of. I mean, you can talk to them as many times as you wish (so it's got that going for it) but that's about it. If you take them with you on quests they'll start talking of their own volition so that's good too but don't expect any BioWare-style relationships. They're better than Skyrim's and similar to Witcher 2's.

My advice? Wait for a few patches, maybe a price drop, then buy it.

Depending on what difficulty you play at, sometimes the whole combat feels like a game-breaking bug.

From what I have seen about this game, I'll probably get it when its 10 bucks or so. The VA isn't that great and the combat looks like a mixed up version of Dark Souls 2 and The Witcher 2 that went wrong. But, it looks nice graphics wise, I guess? Though, quite brown :P

Also, I think the OST is quite enjoyable :)

Will do, ty! Have to find a good RPG to play in the meantime. I tried Kingdoms of Amalur but I was so bored I could barely get through the first location...

So, the devs are trying out a Beta patch for the game. This is the change log:

- Fixed an issue where Randval was indicated on the map but not there in the steppes.
- Fixed an issue where the Prince Arendil wouldn't speak to the player back in the camp after the cut-scene with the lich king : If you're confronted to the bug, you just have to load your last save and try again.
- Fixed an issue where the player can be stuck in the chapter one if he tries to interact with the assistant of Mirana or the Forge of Renko after killing the tormentor.
- Fixed an issue where the game could crash after some manipulations in the crafting screen.
- Fixed an issue where the skin of the demon woman could have a problem with its texture.
- Fixed an issue where the player can make some quest in the high Caraldthas even if he didn't come back to the camp after the lich king.

If anyone wants to try it out, these are the instructions:

- Select the Beta branch (Right clic on the game in the Steam library > Property > select “Beta”)
Password: no password

You should be aware though that switching from beta to non-beta might corrupt your saves.

Looks like a step in the right direction. But from what I've been reading, they should really patch the combat system :D

Bound by Flame is 25% off on Steam. I'd hold off a bit but here's the link:

Bound by Flame is now 40% off as part of a Daily Deal. If you're not willing to wait anymore, this is probably the best time to get it:

I just started it.  Still in the prologue, but so far its feeling like a poor man's Witcher (Never finished the first, thinking of the second).  Still, I'm in a dry spell as far as RPGs are concerned.

It is indeed the comparison most people are making and it is hard to recommend it when TW2 is 80% off on Steam. Here's my non-spoiler review of it, if you're interested.
