A question to those of you that have the game already:
As those of us who've been mucking about with the character creator know, it's very dark and dingey and the colours presented on the portrait are much brighter and paler than those we see in the candlelit dark shadowy character creator.
When the character gets out of creation and into the gameworld propper, and the portrait colours a more realistic reflection of how they look?
I mean, I could make a character with heavily tanned skin but their portrait would show normal to pale skin. Then again, since the available skikn tones start with heavily tanned and then get much darker, I'd like to know if I should be looking at the portrait or at the character model during character creation to get a feel for what they'll actualy end up looking like.

I would say look at the character instead of the portrait.

So they are stuck with really dark skin then (And too many ginger hair options). Thanks for the answer.

Well...no...my character's skin doesn't look dark, in fact she's at the far end of the specturm, the character creator's lighting sucks, and the characters look a bit different in the lighting of the game. But then, almost every MMO I've ever played had crappy character creation lighting (except City of Heroes, and Lord of the Rings Online).

Thankyou Rayne. That's more like the answer I was expecting. Are the colours on the portrait (during creation) a beter indication of the actual colours in game then?
