...this gun man. I just can't seem to figure it out. I don't understand it. It just doesn't seem to get the love it deserves!

It took a little bit of warming up to, but I have this thing where I feel obliged to learn to use my highest level URs, because I don't want those valuable slots go to waste. It's also a way to keep myself amused as I embark on that horrible final stretch of maxing the manifest - only the UR's remain...

As i said, it took me a while to warm up to it. Actually, what happened was I maxed my Saber and learned to use it (finally) on the Juggernaut, the easiest kit to learn a weapon's quirks on. So I got good with the Saber, then compared it to my close-behind Crusader VIII.

Damn, this weapon has some good things going for it.

- It has a DPS that is comparable to the Harrier, with a lot more spare ammo.

- It has innate penetration.

- It fires single slugs, so it's damage vs. armor is amazing compared to spread or full-auto weapons.

- Access to HVB and Omni-Blade

- No obligation towards Smart Choke

- Still useable weight (same as Claymore) at higher levels.

- Pinpoint accurate at any range.

- Awesome sound that makes headshots even more satisfying.

The only beefs with this weapon are that it has a steeper-than-average learning curve, and it likes Shotgun Amps.

This is a Crusader Appreciation thread. For those of you who have a hard time with this weapon, learn to use it on a class like the Juggernaut.

I'm still a huge fan of the Crusader, it's always been one of my favorite guns, even with the small delay on shots.  Its presentation is very strong, with a great looking gun, a solid audio package, and a strong feeling of kick, with stats to back it up.

The delay is related specifically to the way we built shotguns, and they should all share it, but since other shotguns don't require the pinpoint accuracy it doesn't manifest as the same problem.  Even so, I still love the Crusader.
