Can I ask why you're so hung up on twitch headshots? It's like someone only playing adepts or engineers. What's the point of only playing one way? Understand the strength and weaknesses of each class and weapon and use them accordingly.

 

I wouldn't say it's the same. If that's how you've trained your overall shooting techniques in games, that's how you will use them. I'd say it's more akin to being used to using mouse versus a stick for look. Each side thinks theirs is better/more efficient/easier/whatever but really they are just two different ways of approaching it and you know what you know, and switching to the other isn't very easy at all. It would only be like playing only adepts/engineers if it was a technique that only worked on some guns, and guns weren't used on power classes. I aim the same way with every gun, every kit, in every game.

You think that's bad? Try switching between pc and console where one has aim assist and the other doesn't. Just because something is different doesnt mean it's bad. You deal with different mechanics all the time, and the crusader isn't any different.

TBH I don't know what we're arguing. If people think the Crusader is fine and works for them, go ahead, I have no problems. Just don't tell me that the Crusader isn't technically broken, that that bug doesn't have any impact on its usefulness to me, and that I need to relearn how to shoot in order to use 1 bugged gun that should be beautiful for me.

Maybe how us console scrubs use it "isn't possible" on the master race, but I've seen pc players wreck with it, so I know it's possible. Maybe people are stuck in their ways in how they aim, and if that's the case they can just not use the Crusader and still have plenty of fun. But when they say it sucks and the "bug" makes the gun broken and unusable then that just seems lazy to me.

The bug does make it broken and unusable. I would happily just stick it away as "not for me" if I weren't fully aware that it's because of a bug and not design, and if it handled differently. I don't use projectile guns much for a reason.

Yes, but dumb dumb is saying - by this comparison - that using a joystick is wrong, not simply different. He can't use the Crusader effectively, and somehow that's on the gun, rather than on him for not learning how to use it.

It isn't really like that.  It is more like the part of the incendiary ammo glitch where it inherits other DOTs' multipliers.

Exactly. The bug makes it so certain people have difficulty with it. And I have no problem with them saying "not for me, cuz DAT bug". The problem is dumb dumb waltzing in here and telling us that we are wrong and it is a bad gun just because it is harder to make the best use of it.

Just because it's hard to use doesn't mean it's a bad weapon. That's like saying the Kishock or the CSR are bad weapons. Those are both amazing weapons if you know how to make the best use of them. For example, I'm not a Kishock fan, but I love the CSR, and the Javelin.

Crusader is a really powerful gun. It has a lot of things going for it. Getting use to its quirks (buggy or just a biproduct of the way they programmed it) is the only negative it has (aside from needing shotgun amps...)

actually i think its great for melee kits. Has the range to supplement and the melee blade

Didn't even think to use it on the HI. That's actually a good idea. I would probably go full movement speed reduction rather than damage, because I never spec cryo blast for that but it's actually really useful. But maybe not, because I'd go with a melee hybrid, and Cryo Blast debuffs for melee by quite a significant amount.


My recent favorite 3 Crusader kits are Juggernaut, Drell Adept, and TGI melee/weapons hybrid. Though I can think of so many more! TSent would be awesome. Dat Warp Ammo.

Ya I'm really liking it for melee kits recently. Not only the range, but the lack of needing a smart choke.

You are beating a dead horse with the bug thingy. To be honest at this stage it is poor excuse. Take deep breath close your eyes, open it again and forget about that it is a bug. At this stage it is completely unimportant. Are you willing to learn and adapt? Yes or no?

 

It is a typical you get what you give situation.

 

If you are willing to invest the effort and the time to learn this gun, to change and to adapt, then you get a wonderful gun.

 

If you keep insisting that it is bug, it is bug, hence I won't change because it is bug, then you get a crappy gun with bug.

 

Your choice.

This is just not correct. I can use it, my friend can use it, plenty of others can use it. The correct claim would have been "The bug does make it broken and unusable for me." 

 

Note, I am not trying to convince you, neither I am stating my opinion. The above claim is simply not correct.
