As I posted over on the Cullen thread, my reaction to the throne was;
Inquisitor: Well this won't do at all... this throne has got to go!
Cassandra: It has been the throne of Skyhold for the past 500 years!
Inquisitor: Cass, look at it! It's made of skulls! Do you really think we're going to win the hearts and minds of people, while you've got my backside plonked on a chair that looks like it came off the cover of "Villains Monthly"?!
Cassandra: Well we're not moving it...
Cullen: You know, I thought I saw a decent looking chair in the dungeons?
Inquisitor: Well that sounds perfect, fetch... the comfy chair!
*Dramatic chord sting*
I know, I know... I couldn't resist... ![]()

Dragon Skull Throne isn't really what one would consider "hero material."
Hehe, yeah. The skull throne in particular remind me of this sketch:
I predict a similar situation happening among my soldiers if I end up using the skull throne, or the "unicorn" for that matter.

I like the armor, except the helmet. I just toggle the "hide helmet", or not wear one at all.

Don't redeem the codes then. Pre-ordering just because they're giving you bonus content is silly. You should pre-order because you're eager to play the game, regardless of whatever they're throwing in with it.
What's silly is claiming that my reason for not pre-ordering is "because they're givng you free content", when I've already made clear that I don't like this bonus content. For the sake of clarity, I suppose I should have made it clear(er) that I was considering pre-ordering in order to get the content and now that I've seen it, I won't be pre-ordering that particular package. Having said that, it would have been nice if you'd presented your comment as a question so as not come off as silly, presumptive and judgmental.

Apparently the Red Hart is just a deer, not a halla. Hopefully we can have halla mounts though. I always liked the look of them and the lore in DAO.
Bog Unicorn made me laugh, especially when I remember the concept art of the male Inquisitor fighting in the bog. Maybe he stabs it and then raises it again, but decides to leave the sword there for stylistic purposes...
The throne reminds me of something but I'm not sure what. Maybe a broodmother, with those tentacle things.

My apologies for nitpicking, but isn't criticising the content based on what appears to be only concept art, before we've actually seen shots of how it will appear in-game, also a little silly, presumptive and judgmental? ![]()
Not that I disagree with your reasons for not wanting to pre-order (and likely pay more) for a bunch of weapons and aesthetic extras that you don't want or even need to enjoy the game, it's a perfectly valid for not wanting to do so. I must admit to be a little underwhelmed by the mounts and the throne, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the double and see if they release some screenshots to show how they'll look. If they still aren't up to snuff, I'll simply not use the stuff I don't like and hopefully be able to swap out the throne for the default one.
(Has anyone asked Bioware if we'll be able to do that as part of how we customise our Keeps?)
Anyway, we've still had yet to hear about the Collectors Edition? The Devs implied there might be some even better content yet to come, so I'm holding off on pre-order until there.

Other than aesthetics, I hope these things offer something of substance to the game. No idea what a throne or mounts do for you in game, but the flaming weapons seem cool. Hopefully they are better than the pre order weapons from DA2 which are underpowered shortly.

The top three - oh hell yes!
Bottom three - umm, I think I'll pass. Besides, I thought one of the whole things with Halla is that they weren't supposed to be ridden with a saddle and reins?

It's not a Halla. That's a typo.

Why apologize when you're going to do exactly the same thing? What's more is that you base your comment on supposition. ("...what appears to be only concept art...") Had it been stated that the images were concepts, perhaps my comment would have been different, but since it wasn't... Pot meet kettle. If you're going to interject yourself into someone else's conversation, you should at least make sure that your reason is sound. In any event, I appreciate your attempt at civility, so I hope we can agree to disagree in regards to who is being silly, presumptive and judgmental.

Kudos to whoever created that unicorn, pure genius.
"Fear not, citizens of Orlais! I have come to save you riding my undead horse with a still bloodied sword trespassing it's skull. It's an unicorn, I swear."

Undead horses smell.
Why do I want to ride a stinky mount?
The halla is apparently not a halla?

Which is good because it doesn't look like a halla
Good because you don't put saddles on halla.

Doesn't the notion of a demon in a horse corpse sound like the most unreliable mount ever? Is that really what it is?

To Repost what I said on another forum
So the Inquisition can walk into town, Men and Women in pitch black clothes and Armor, people who've gone to war with the Wardens and Stolen power from the Chantry, at the lead of them is a Qunari, an Ox-man wearing flaming armor , obviously a mage wielding dark arts, it's steed, if you can call it that, is a long dead horse made into a cruel mockery of a child's fable, this wo/man lives in a mountaintop fortress fairly close to the blast that killed Thousands of people and spends their off hours sitting in a Throne made from the Skull of a Dragon. And the townspeople's first reaction is "Thank the Maker, we're saved."
That's how messed up Thedas is right now.

Didn't Bioware say that townsfolk might react in terror if you go more the dark route?
