There's suppose to be a Nintendo round-table today, right?

The new Metroid is actually No Man's Sky.

Semi-confirmed rumor.

And they have won though.

True. Nintendo's offering are the closest I came to being surprised by something at this years E3. X is now Xenoblade Chronicles and it is out next year. Bayonetta 2 comes with the first Bayonetta game and will be out before Christmas 2014. A new Star Fox game is in the works and the new Zelda look amazing and it is due out next year, not bad even though I am currently suffering from franchise fatigue when it comes to the Zelda franchise.

The only thing they were lacking was a new Metroid game.

Microsofts conference was good and Sony had a few big reveals but there was nothing new, nothing surprising, nothing that we did not already know was on the horizon.

And Splatoon. That was probably the highlight of the show for me. It should help circumvent the 'no new IP' argument too.

This is very American and also very relevant to this because he posted it while being at E3.

I keep seeing articles from The Verge and Paul Tassi talking about how Sony slam dunked MS. I just don't see it.

People will claim whatever. Its subjective. I felt MS had a better showing than Sony, somewhere there's someone that feels Sony had a better showing than MS.

Writing an article about it doesn't make their opinions worth anymore. You know that, but I wish the majority of other people did.

Well some people love uncharted and have interest in the order 1886 while I have none whatsoever. That could be why they say it was good.

I would rate the conferences I have seen in this way.

Nintendo

Microsoft

Sony -Ubisoft

EA

Nintendo just had the best presentation which balanced the developers talking, with actual freaking games. Not just any games either, a large collections of High quality, first party, ready to show games with new IP sprinkled in for good measure.

Microsoft's presentation was much better than last year with a good focus on games, but it just had so many highs and lows. Another CoD, that is presented as next gen but I wasn't really "wowed" as it just looks like the same Call of Duty with better graphics. The powersuit has potential to mix it up and make it fun again, but the story does not inspire.  The halo collection certainly livened things up though.

Sony's was mostly a bust for me. Some good games like Little Big Planet, but lots of low key buzz. I kinda forgot most of what I saw at the conference actually, that is how much of an impact they had on me. Then the exclusive TV stuff came around and I lost interest.

Ubisofts was expected. Assassins creed looks great, but it's more Assassins creed. Something I am very much burnt out on.

Then EA. Oh Ea. Look I don't know why you paid so much money to have a presence at EA when YOU HAD NOTHING TO SHOW. You know what I saw for almost every demo they had? PROTOTYPE FOOTAGE. CONCEPT ART. DEVELOPERS DIARIES. These are not what I want to see! I don't want to see a developers face talking about vague concepts for 5+ minutes. I want to see games. I want to see games that look fun to play. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE NOTHING. You know what I mean? Dragon age looked great, but the non starters of Star Wars and Mass Effect were just dissapointing to the max.

Uncharted? You mean the 30 seconds of prerendered CGI Drake? I didn't see uncharted I saw a teaser.

To me, Nintendo Killed it. I don't even own and Nintendo consoles (no handhelds either) but I saw so many games that I just wanted to play there.

If people can freak out over a CGI trailer of halo the same applies for sony's big franchise.

I dislike CGI trailers because they show you about as much of the actual game as someone doing a retelling of the what game is gonna have using finger puppets.

I thought the Dead Island trailer would have taught us all that.
