I don't understand why so many people here are getting so up in arms about anyone suggesting maybe white guys could stand to not be vastly over represented. Literally no one is saying white men are evil or need to flog themselves daily. No one is saying white men deserve no representation in media. More than one of the people asking for more diversity are white guys. You're concocting this vitriol in your own heads. It's a transparent attempt to lodge strawman arguments at the opposition. Pretty disappointing how rampant it's gotten.

Straight white male characters would have to be completely absent from all media for a century at least before the playing field would be remotely even.

 

Even if perfectly equal representation started right now, straight white male representation has a head start that will never, ever, ever be eclipsed. They'll be just fine.

FYI.  Don't call out other posters based on their posting history.

 

 

As it seems to NEED to be clarified, since people are rather obtuse about it, there is no need to continue to call out posters that you feel are people circumventing their ban on the old forum softare.

 

I, personally, have no real beef with the reprieve and them coming back after the forum shift, because if you dislike the poster, you can ignore the poster.  If I see anymore posts that seem to be intent on exposing old posters as being some sort of guy here in disguise, I'm going to start handing out spamming related infractions as they only serve to derail the thread.

 

This goes for any poster that has a second chance on the new forum.  Utilize the new forum software features and stop wasting mine and everyone else's time by responding to posters you don't like.

 

 

Same goes for using the report function.  (Of which many people did use.  Thank you)
