When I start a match with friends we have a tendency to melee each other a lot on the LZ as a way of greeting each other. Similarly there are moments in the game where you and your buddy side-by-side have just mowed down a whole load of enemies. We just end up just looking at each other afterwards.

It’s time like that I wish we have gestures such as waving and high fiving.

Any there any gestures you would like to make to your fellow teammates?

Quite often, i like to lie down in front of a turret, and wait that other players join me for a group hug.

Otherwise landing headshots, spamming tech armor or other things between waves are part of the fun.

Shooting a missile in the air, when there's one second till extraction comes to mind. Flaming each other, or trying to "Stasis" a fellow player also happens. Brofist with the Drell or Batarian characters.

It does. It's also perhaps something everyone should do at the beginning of the game to create that bond between teammates.

Meleeing friends the entire game is enough for me. Sometimes pugs do it too.

Krogans should be able to eat unKrogans that participate in the headbutting ritual.

I almost always high five with my adepts. Krogan headbutts are mandatory. Asarigasms, Batarians have the best fist bump evar... etc, etc.

Garden Warfare has some fantastic gestures. They're a lot of fun to use.

However, those are bound to the D-Pad. Controllers are basically out of buttons.

Other than the traditional Melee be it, Headbutts, Asarigasm  or just Pistol whipping.

Combat rolls/dodges are fairly common, started doing it with Volus rolling and spread from there.

LOL,I consider that more of a dry humping than a hug.

Shooting pugs/friends and hearing their character shout 'check your fire', 'watch it' is something I regularly do.

Heavy melee is another good way to greet players. Very few people respond to that though :/

Shock-batons, drell kicks are my favorite though if there are 2+ drells or smashbros in the team.
