I have multiple games where I alternately put him on the throne--solo with my Warden as Counsellor or queen with him, (usually) a grey warden or once as a wandering drunkard.  Killing him is one thing I've never done.  Since all three are possibilities and I know Steve Valentine is doing voice work for DAI, I hope to see him in some capacity or another.

Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing with what's intimated to be going on with the Grey Wardens will remain to be seen.

Now Loghain I would want to see again. I like Loghain, he's an interesting guy, and his VA is incredible.

In my "canon" worldstate my elf mage kept him a Warden so she could continue to have him to herself.  She also loved him goofy so didn't "harden" him.

It will be interesting to see in different worldstates how this changes.  And I absolutely agree that he seems different depending on who your Warden is and whether you keep him in your party.  My "trailer" Warden, who was a tank and never needed Alistair in the party thought he was a whiny little *bleep*.

Given my warden had him put to death,I don't want to meet him at all, as meeting his zombie corpse would be quite disturbing.

we will be in the fade quiet a bit so if you hear moaning it's most liking going to be Alistair.

I will be seeing him as a drunk and as a king drunk Alistair more fun

Alistair is King and hardened in most of my playthroughs, but he rarely rules alone.  Usually I marry him off to Anora or (if I can) he's married to my Warden.

Alistair as King always. I read some of Loghain's conversation, and many were sad, especially the one with "Dog" about a female Mabari Loghain had. He was, WAS, a good guy. Point tho, Alistair is my Warden's friend, tho I hated in the beginning of Awakening, he acted like he wish I died with the other Wardens which hurt. However he's King, why? It's those who don't want the responsibility, that do greater things then those who want power.

I really hope they don't water the choice down to one lousy cameo like they did in DA2.  :(

In my play through, Alistair is king and lady Edolina Cousland(aka human noble) is his beloved queen. While we won't see the warden, I do want to sort of see that her royal title regonized in Fereldan.  This actually annoyed me in awakening, while i regonize that my warden-commander title was important and for this role, the title I was using more. people did not act as if I was also the queen, which my warden was. So if the game regonzies and have people, besides alistair, mention how a cousland is queen then I would be happy.

I don't need to see her IG since as queen she could be off in a part of Fereldan that we do not see IG dealing with the hole of doom in the sky issue. I just want to see the game regonize that she married her beloved husband Alistair and became queen

All hail queen Anora!! There is no king Alistair for me, he was too much of a goof to be taken seriously. He will remain a warden.

Will drunk Allistair resume his duty as a Grey Warden after Ban Teagan picks him up? That's the question.

Never stop being a warden till you die, so...yes?  Maybe.  Depends on Loghain's fate in your game I would think.  In my 'drunk Alistair' playthrough he (Loghain) died.

Alistair is king in most of my playthroughs.  In some playthroughs he rules alone, in some playthroughs my Cousland is queen. I really don't want to make Anora the sole ruler.

On a couple of occassions I've made him rule jointly with Anora while I let Loghain make the sacrifice. That's a pretty good deal. Alistair gets mad at my Warden but eventually gets over it.

King especially if he's harden. He needs to grow up...feel bad about Goldanna not going to spoil anything.

Alistair is still mad at Aedan Cousland despite everything that happen. :( I wonder how he feels with his former best friend missing.

Alistair will be king and married to Anora in my first DA:I play-through, since I played a Dalish Warden who spared Loghain in that save file and I'll be a Dalish mage here. My second game import is my Amell who is with Alistair in the Wardens still, and they are happy together. I'll be a (likely mage) human for that play-through.

He better do something of value after Teagen picks him up since I'm resurrecting him and risking my Warden having to deal with a rebellion in Alistair's name just in case he can turn his life around and be useful.

More often than not I've had Alistair as king. Only rarely did I succeed at having him continue as a Warden. I had him pop up as a drunkard several times in Kirkwall.

I think that he is best as King Alistair and that is how I hope to meet him during the Inquisition.

I've done most of the choices for him. I'll figure it out when I create multiple characters in the game.

In my world he is the ruler of Ferelden together with my female human noble Warden as queen. I like it this way.

I let Alistair duel and kill Loghain, asked both Anora and Alistair what they want...and decided to let Anora rule alone. Everyone was happy with this arrangement (except maybe Eamon).

Exiled, sacrificed or executed preferably (I jest on the last one, if he's going to die he will die honorably).

But of the two, I would say Grey Warden. Alistair doesn't have the maturity or emotional detachment to be leading a nation. He's best doing what he knows best, hunting darkspawn (and the occasional blood mage given his training). Anora knows when to be diplomatic and when to reign in her emotions (including watching her father die before her), something Alistair really hasn't mastered. It's okay that Alistair is sensitive, which means he'd be good leading a squad of Grey Wardens and looking out for them, but it doesn't make for a good ruler though. Rulers have to be pragmatic and see the big picture, which is what Anora does best.
