I'm having an issue with this quest. I'll first explain that I was locked out of completing the Rannoch: Geth Fighter Squadrons mission because I mistakenly did the Priority: Rannoch mission first. So I can't pick up the Reaper Code Fragments from that mission. I read that I could instead purchase the Code Fragments from the Spectre Requisition terminal. however when I go to the terminal it is not listed for purchase. I read about the glitch where if you buy the Code Fragments and are unable to give them to the asari, that you need to leave the embassy and return or reload your save, well thinking that I may have previously purchased it without realizing it I've done both and I must assume that I have NOT purchased it previously because I still can't give it to her.

 

So I am left unable to complete the quest because I'm locked out of completing the mission it is aquired in, and it is not available for purchase at the Spectre terminal.

 

Anyone else had this issue or can explain what I'm doing wrong?

I assume that you cannot buy the Reaper Code Fragment since you never played the Rannoch: Geth Fighter Squadrons mission.

 

Basically, you can find the Reaper Code fragment on that mission. If you happen to miss it on that mission, then you can buy it. However, if you never play that mission, then you never missed it so you cannot buy it. Or something like that.

 

I think the Rannoch: Jamming Towers mission is similar, where if you do not play it, you cannot geth/buy the Geth Jamming technology.

Argh, I wish they at least would let you visit the area, even if there is no longer a mission to be completed so that you can complete the quest and find items.

 

I get what you're saying. Although, I would think that realistically if the area for the Rannoch: Geth Fighter Squadrons mission had been retaken by the Turians (I think it was) then someone would have surely come across the code fragments and turned it in to the Alliance which would then make it available from the Spectre Terminal.

 

Oh well, I was waiting before entering the final battle so that I could potentially clean up the missed quest, but now I can finish the fight.
