For your information.

Unlike the torrent of E-mails you may or may not get about getting free money from your, previously unknown to you, dead distant Nigerian royal relations.  This offer is a bit more credible.  Instead of costing you your life's savings, it only costs you your soul {tinfoilhat} (and other more material future costs, as google sells your preferences to investors and marketers.  Both to front run you in the market and to atune MSRP of goods to the maximum mode-average affordability level in your geographical area, irrespective of actual costs.) {/tinfoilhat}.

You can however, very slowly, incur enough funds within your google wallet to eventually purchase the odd inexpensive app/movie or some musics.  So...ya.

"Answer quick surveys and earn Google Play credits with Google Opinion Rewards, an app created by Google Consumer Surveys.

Getting started is easy. Download the app and answer basic questions about yourself. We'll then send you surveys around once a week, although it may be more or less frequent. You'll get a notification on your phone when a short and relevant survey is ready for you, and can receive up to $1.00 USD (or local equivalent) in Play credits for completing it. Questions can range from, "Which logo is best?" and "Which promotion is most compelling?" to "When do you plan on traveling next?"

This is currently available to users located in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia."

Are all your neighbours samurai too? I'm not keen on seppuku myself, I just roll with the punches and share my ignorance with any foolish enough to listen.

Sounds fake.

Then don't read it out loud. :P

Honestly, people can go to the play store themselves, search Goole rewards and bring the app up without clicking on the provided link. There they can see the app is verified, made by Google and the permission required by the app. Tbh, I wasn't comfortable with it initially myself. It is a choice people will have to make for themselves. (Unless you tell your wife or sister. She'll force you to use it, just like air miles, groupon and the other fist full of points cards and programs in your wallet)
