I tend to agree, I hated being alone during mission I died a lot during that mission. I wished I had some back up at least one person like Kaiden or Ashely. I felt too exposed during that entire mission for me to feel like I've done something impossible. Plus the choices didn't mater in the end but that just me.

Exactly the problem I had with it. Felt completely exposed.

I really thought that the consequences of your actions at the end of the DLC would play a far bigger part at the start of ME3. I mean, it did, kind of, but it was essentially just an excuse to have you on Earth at the start of the game.....

It is extreamely fun! i was laughing out loud! was not expecting that much humor:) and love all the time you get with your teammates:) I never did pursue the garrus romance option, is it worth wile?

Talking of laughing and teammates I loved Grunt's little story.

I love what Citadel has to offer, but I still find the idea of the party ridiculous, and I'm rather distasteful of the campiness and humor of it all as time has worn on.

I'd prefer if it had a more straightforward story that was more serious in tone, and I'd sacrifice the party for more personal moments with each squadmate and LI, with an ability to invite members of the party and LI to hang out at the apartment and bring people together. Granted, I love the more serious tone Shepard can have with some squadmates, and the more tender moments with LI's (especially Miranda who feels like a mature and realistic adult relationship).

Not really. You'd be there with or without having done Arrival. The reasoning for why you are on Earth changes at least.

I have to agree to a point. I will say that its amusing at least seeing the beginnings of the Massani & Vakarian Home Security if you roll a mellow version of the party.

I thought the party was great. Granted it made very little logical sense, but from a humour point of view it was a gold mine of little moments - plus it was a good opportunity to have characters that don't normally interact, interact.

The only thing that I'd have changed on that side of the DLC would be to integrate it better into the main game. You can go back to the apartment at any point, but you can't call anyone over. That bummed me out a bit. Missed opportunity.

That's a fair point. TBH, I've never played ME3 without having done the Arrival DLC. What is the explanation for Shepard being on Earth in that scenario?

The thing is as a specter the alliance has no reasons to bring Shepard in to stand trial.

Working with Cerberus, which is a big no-no to Alliance.

Working with Cerberus, regardless of alliance with them or not.

Being a Spectre doesnt mean **** when Humans are part of the Council and the Spectre's answer to the Council.

Said moments aren't fitting of the tone or story. I don't mind tender moments with the LI and the idea of letting off some steam, but the humor was unfunny for the most part to me, just irritating and not my style of humor. We didn't really get to see any squadmates 'interact', if you can call it that. I'm not a shipper among the squadmates, but I wanted to see some conflict between, say, Ashley and the former Cerberus crew-members. I prefer things logical to emotional and campy every day of the week. I didn't want the story to go in a light-hearted, fun direction. I wanted it to be serious and grim. I didn't want my Shepard to react to the whole cloning thing as if it was like he found out he had some far-fetched admirer who he was embarrassed about. I wanted to see some legit meta questioning about identity and who and what he is. I didn't want to see the clone and company as far-fetched and silly, I wanted to see them as legitimately dangerous.

That doesn't mean anything. Humans are on the Council. That doesn't mean that Spectres answer to humanity or the alliance. It means they answer to the Council. For which there happens to be a human on.

The Citadel DLC wasn't really that funny, it was light hearted, but I never laughed out loud at any time whilst playing through it. I would have preferred something more serious as well, but oh well, you can't have it all.

Of course, Cerberus. Stands to reason I guess.

Re the 'Clone' plot - that didn't particularly bother me either way to be honest. I can see what you're saying about the meta questioning and agree that that would have been an interesting way to take things though.

In terms of the rest - the last thing I wanted the trilogy to end with was more grim dark. The ending to the overall narrative was depressing enough to begin with, no need to pour yet more on top.

Opinion on the Citadel DLC does seem to polarise, which is fair enough, it's certainly not going to please everyone. I'm just glad that I'm one of those that liked it!  :)

I agree that some parts of the party were a bit flat while others were hilarious.

That said, I think Shep already does the meta identity questioning covered as part of the raid on Chronos Station after seeing the logs covering the Lazarus Project

Batarians ****** and call for Shepard's head. Council hears said bitching. Udina puts forward the idea of having Shepard tried, for the sake of political placation of the Batarians to avoid a war. Rest of the Council agrees and Shep effectively cant do jack about it

I want to say something that will undoubtedly bring you to see my point and reason, but if I've learned anything in my time on the world wide web(and especially since joining BSN) is that would have been a fools errand. And even I'm not that much of a fool.

So whatever floats your boat.

Citadel is the best DLC ever for Mass Effect.

Yeah, I probably agree with that. I like the others, but Citadel is probably the best overall- I enjoy the mission, and how can you not love the cheesiness of the party? So many feels...

I loved the citadel dlc because Wrex. Because Grunt. Because Zaeed. Because Javik. Because Traynor. Because "you used me as bait!" Because drunk Tali. Because you never bet against commander shepard. Because "they've got a krogan!" Because "Do I really sound like that?" Because shep saved the Normandy with a toothbrush. Because Glyph. Because space divas. Because shep broke their floor. Because shep killed a hundred guys with a pistol. Because a million other things, but mostly because "the best."

Spectres can't be tried. The answer only to the Council, and there is no evidence of this happening. The Alliance can't try Shepard;  the only thing a Spectre can be punished for is treason. Batarians aren't part of the galactic government, and this blowing up the Alpha relay is not treason.

Source that Treason is the only thing they can be tried for?

That said, I know it doesnt make much sense for Shep to be tried if his Spectre status was reinstated in ME2. Course not everyone gets it back, meaning Shep can be tried by the Alliance if you refused the reinstatement during the meeting.

Yup pretty much Bartarians can go screw it, for all, I care as I answer to the Council. Since you chose not to be a part of the Galactic government, y'all can stuff it.

Is Bahak inside Terminus Systems?

Because technically, the Council reinstated Shepard's Spectre status and limited it to Terminus Systems. And I vaguely recall Bahak and Aratoht being in Outer Council Space.

Technicalities such as this are pretty much all lawyers need to hang on to.

Because the cheesiness is idiocy. If I wanted cheesy, I'd buy a pizza and watch Doctor Who.

I want a good story. I want feels too, but I didn't get any many from the DLC. I get my feels a bit differently than other people though, and my feels are a lot different.

Sure is a lot of headcanon.
