I am wondering if anyone has found a way of saving the inhabitants of the inn using their magical powers such as healing, slow poison or whatever. I never have, but wonder if someone more knowledgable than I am has found a way. I always try to find ways of saving those people that those who wrote the game try to write off such as these people or Miner Belkin.

Thus in the D'Arnise stronghold I save then servants who areb supposed to die. In that situation I found it amusing that they continued to plead, "Please help me!" when their tormentor was already dead!

You can save some of them by killing the slime quickly enough.

The mage who accompanies you to the vampire HQ always amuses me - he will drop dead of fright even if all his enemies are already dead at his feet.

I knew that you could save some of them, but have never been able to save those such as the innkeeper who is already dying. What I would like to know is what it is they are dying of. Poison? Slow poison doesn't seem to work, or would you need cure poison?

You can't save those allready affected by the slime. It's not considered poison and there's no cure for it. If one of your characters is affected, you can't save him or her either. You get a +6 bonus to your saving trow against the slime, but if you fail your saving throw you're dead. Period.

Thanks for the info. That sucks! To think that I've been fighting them all this time and haven't been killed yet apart from one game when I was a Noob and I tried doing them when I was too weak.
