Since we all believe that the Knight Enchanter specialisation is essentially a repackaged version of the Arcane Warrior (a Mage/Warrior cross-class), it may be a safe bet to see our KE!Quisitors crashing around in armour and wielding swords and/or magic lightsabers (and I so hope for the latter).

But what do you think would be the possibility of the Knight Enchanter being able to be built up so that it functions more like a Rogue/Mage cross-class, rather than the AW-style Mage/Warrior?

I know that since we don't know any of the details yet there won't be any definite answer, but we can still speculate, right?

I'd like to see this, personally. I think a lightly armoured, dual dagger wielding speedy mage could be a fun thing to play as (but that's just me :P). And maybe there are buffs from other talent trees (such as Haste, assuming this is in DA:I) which could aid in making the KE more Roguish?

What do you think?

I would expect something like the Arcane Archer from Dungeons & Dragons, not a melee...

Either way, It'll be a nice change from playing a tank Mage, wouldn't it?

Their goal should be to make a Knight Enchanter function like a Knight Enchanter, it shouldn't be trying to emulate either rogues or warriors.

Part of me believes it may play nothing at all like the Arcane Warrior, sure your not restrict on armor anymore as a mage but the new play style of Inquisition makes me hope for something better

I'd like to see the Knight Enchanter able to be mobile and high damage rather than being stuck in a Tank role, yes.

I think the 3 specs are verry wide Vivienne is a Knight enchanter.

And in the demo is just a good elemental mage. And not a wanna bee Warrior

At this point i think the spec have more the do whit back ground.

then the way you play your char. So from i think the talent tree are verry big whit some overlaps and some special spells from build you pick.

But whit big amount of freedom how you want to play

that will be very powerful cause rogues have the best single target and mages are  best at aoe so combining them together will be very powerful.

If I could play as a mage that uses a Bow/Crossbow, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

Maybe there could be more flexibility with the Knight Enchanter than there was with Arcane Warrior, depending on your personal play style. Tank Mage? Sure! Magical Archer? Go for it! Dual wielding Jedi? Have fun!

Were that the case I'd pick mage in an instant.

Making spellpower turn into strength kind of makes sense.

Suddenly making them able do acrobatic evades, scoundrel like aggro management, or being a master archer... not so much. That's a roundabout way of just being a rogue. How about just play a rogue?

If you're just saying you want to dual wield, that's not the same thing as rogue. I can understand wanting something like that though.

If they really are going to be all kinds of things, might as well take classes out completely. And just let play one type of character, with different skill trees. What's the point of making all of these other classes if you can make a god character?

I hope things are just tweaked DA2 combat/classes. And from the looks of the trailers, that's what it looks like to me.

I have that game. Just haven't gotten in the groove to finish it. I liked that some of the boss battles (that I've seen) took a cue from Shadows of the Collosus. Crawing on top of them, doing locational damage..

But I digress.

I'm on this game like everyday lol. Magic Archer is sooo much fun to play as. Strider is my favorite class though.

I wouldn't so much want to play as a rouge//mage...but a dual weilding mage, being able to cast spells as well as do damage with magical blades would be pretty damn epic.

I really love the idea of a duel wielding mage. If Knight Enchanter is a tanky class I most likely won't play it, I'm not a fan of tanking. But if I can duel wield and throw fireballs? Oh boy count me in.
