  I bought this because it said it would work on the requirements and it does work on vista compatabilty mode and with safemovies:1 but it wont work on just windows 7...it crashes at startup.

  When i installed it ...it installed fine and then it tried to install microsoft net 2.0 i believe it was and it failed saying it was in compatable with 64 bit machines.

 Can someone share what they did to get it working on a windows 7  64bit machine.

i did it says to play it on compatable mode..i wanna know if it is possible to play it on windows 7 and not use a compatable mode.....my windows shifts to windows color scheme basic everytime it fires up and messes my desktop icons up

I never had any issues on Win 7. Did you run the 1.69 critical rebuild after installing? I know the game is supposed to be updated to 1.69 in that release version, but a lot of people fix stuff by running the rebuild. 

 

And the nwn.ini setting is "SafeMovies=0" and add "Disable Intro Movies=1"

i added the disable intro movies and didnt notice anything different...what is it suppossed to do and maybe i added it wrong.

Did you put it under
[Display Options]
Disable Intro Movies=1

Like that?

If you have that, the first thing you see will be the Neverwinter Nights load game etc screen.
Without it you will see an add for Bioware, Wizards of the Sword Coast, Floodgate Entertainment & then a movie of a bloke fighting a minotaur & someone hitting an anvil.
