So I've been playing for way too long, and annoying BSN along the way  :D

Now looking for new builds and fun ways to use characters.

Just promoted the Engineer class.

Human Female has become my Crusader master  ;)

Turian Saboteur is set up as an Incisor Geth specialist

Any ideas what I can do with the remaining engineers, given I historically don't use them much.

Wacky , but usable builds especially welcome.

It's a slow night, I'm watching Eurovison with the missus  :?

Quarian Male Engineer - Experimental Melee Build (I have only played one game with that build and it seems good enouth and more imported it was a lot of fun)

Vorcha Hunter - Tech Burst build Use Bloodlust only as healing power and deactivate it if there is currendly no need for healing to keep cooldowns even lower.

QFE does great with any shotgun or pistol you don't have anyone else to give to...

Salarian commando

EDIT - fixed drill rounds which would have no effect on the Scorpion

Male Quarian

4 Tac Scan.. Power Damage
6 Incinerate.. Damage, Burning Damage, Armor Damage
6 Arc Nades.. Damage, Electrical DOT, Shield Damage
5 Passives.. Power Damage, Power Damage
5 Fitness.. Health/Shields

Weapon: Whatever you want. Harrier, Talon, Paladin, Eagle, Wraith, Claymore.. whatever. I think the min/max option is Talon w/ Power Magnifyer/Heavy Barrel/AP IV ammo.

Grenade Capacity, Weapon Amp III, Power Amp III or IV
It's total rapesauce.. even more powerful than the lolololTalon Merc IMO.

Sabre GE sounds interesting. It's not a weapon I use often. Not sure about putting 3 into a pet though - I don't normally bother with pets.

maybe it's time to start.  ;)

Yeah, I'm liking the idea of a pistol build. Unfortunately my Talon is at a very low level, so I might go with the Executioner.

Paladin is also a good option.

Another good idea. I haven't used the Paladin since they buffed the Eagle!!!!

I've got into a groove of using the same kits. I'm really enjoying revisiting some characters and weapons I seldom use. Keeps the game fresh.

When was the last time you used the Novaguard? That's the kit I see the least in pugs.

Yes.. you must, bc the Novaguard is teh uber awesomesauce superguard. When you see a pug with a bunch of primers (snap cheese, flamer, biotics) go Novaguard and enjoy the fireworks show.

Venom and arc pistol are my go to caster weapons. Those work on all the engineers. Apart from those two, here are some I enjoyed using:

GE + CSR (Can substitute CSR with indra, works quite similarly) - I found a use for operative package here, lol

QFE + Wraith

VHE + Graal

SE + Falcon

Volus Engie + Paladin

I've been fartin' around with that VHE using no passives.

Really looking at dumping submission net. It's nice for tech bursts, but fire explosions are good too. Is submission net's shield evo actually any good for shield/barrier stripping? Seems like Disruptor Ammo could also get it done.

No dumb weapns. Krogan/Bloodpack weapons only.

I was just about to suggest a human vanilla with Crusader lol and here we are! I am proud :)

Lightweight Geth Engineer with the Javelin is fun. 46664, specced so that Overload can strip a gold phantom with one chain. Meanwhile, keep the cooldowns as fast as possible for spamming.

Salarian Engineer is also a fun kit to make with as light sniper as possible, spamming powers and sniping.

I just realized I don't really use engineers enough. TSab with Suppressor is a fun headshot mook killing build.

Actually, the GE build w/ Javelin I use also uses operatives package to get the overload damage to phantom range without using power amps.

I saw a thread a while back about the HE with a falcon - seems pretty viable with tech ammo. AoE priming and detonate with OL or Incinerate

First of all you must try the GE + crusader combo. Max out overload, HM and the passives, take healing turret, put either 4/4 points into turret/fitness or 6/0 depending on you confidence and experience.

GE+ GPR + incediary combo is also a must try. Overload for headshots and for fire explosions.

FQE + Talon + cryo ammo, incinerate specced for freeze combo. Play it aggressively, it is a very good mook killer.

I would also try the vorcha hunter with the crusader. Shot subnet to the ground at choke points, headshot 'the catch' with crusader.

It sure does. I just like the CSR, Indra more than javelin. With the javelin, I get to use overload once every 6 secs or so and I don't feel like I am playing the GE anymore. I might as well play the GT or GI without giving a damn about CDs. :)

Just my thoughts.

I can see that. I used to put CSR on him (don't like Indra though).

What I did was put ULMs on the Jav and took rank 4 passives for capacity. It gives me Overload every I think 4.5 seconds or something, which works really well with the reload canceling I find. The Javelin has so much raw power that damage bonuses only matter vs. bosses. Although the Javeloin's spike damage is good for killing bosses while manipulating soft cover effectively.

Additionally, I like this because Overload negates the need for Phasics, allowing use for Drill ammo, and there is Hunter Mode wallhax.

Could be something worth trying, if you feel like it. Though I totally understand preferring CSR. That thing is awesome.

This is the GE Jav build with a 4.56 second overload recharge. With the Operative Package gear, you nail phantom shields in a single overload. It you know you won't face Cerb, you can switch it for something better. The weapon mods are variable. You can take off spare ammo for a barrel if you want more damage and don't mind ammo runs. No ULMs makes the CDT just over 5 seconds, so if you are OK with that, then you can swap UMLs for a barrel (high velocity if u r confident the weight glitch will work, which I never am) EDIT: You can even go with AP+HVB+Drill Ammo for ultimate wallhax /EDIT

You'll notice that Hunter mode is not specified optimally for the javelin (ROF and accuracy are useless here). This is solely because it still allows you to change up the weapon choice and not regret choosing power damage and CDT. (However 4b in passives was chosen instead, which is never a bad choice anyways).
