I like this for the Salarian Engineer, the Venom is just as fun and lore friendly too but I already use that on a few kits so went with the Scorpion instead.
And the Geth Engineer with the Saber is always great.

I was just about to suggest a human vanilla with Crusader lol and here we are! I am proud
Lightweight Geth Engineer with the Javelin is fun. 46664, specced so that Overload can strip a gold phantom with one chain. Meanwhile, keep the cooldowns as fast as possible for spamming.
Salarian Engineer is also a fun kit to make with as light sniper as possible, spamming powers and sniping.
I just realized I don't really use engineers enough. TSab with Suppressor is a fun headshot mook killing build.
I normally snipe with either the TGI or SI so the GE would make a change, although I would probably dumb down from Jav to BW.
I like the SE idea. I don't currently have a light sniper build, so Valiant on the SE sounds good.
When was the last time you used the Novaguard? That's the kit I see the least in pugs.
I used a Novaguard last night in a pug. Ended up with Collectors on Hydra, it was horrible. But despite burning through all my gels by wave 5, and getting devices on wave 10, we managed to extract.
Venom and arc pistol are my go to caster weapons. Those work on all the engineers. Apart from those two, here are some I enjoyed using:
GE + CSR (Can substitute CSR with indra, works quite similarly) - I found a use for operative package here, lol
This is pretty much the build I use for the Vorcha Hunter, except I go with either Venom or Wraith. I suppose Graal would work pretty well too, and its a pretty fitting weapon for a vorcha. (in other words, +1, would bang, might even call the next day)
QFE with a Claymoar is the only possible answer.
Everything else is secondary.
Human Female Engineer with Geth Plasma Shotgun
Toss Drone(I use the drone because i actually like it, and because without it i feel like i might as well just use the QME), charge a shot, then overload and immediately shoot...win. Cryo ammo to boost Incinerate, and you can do tech bursts with Overload > Incinerate or fire explosions with Incinerate > Overload
-Geth Engineer, Claymoar Expert
Oveload any shields and then an accuracy boosted Claymoar shot to the head with kill just about everything, Drill rounds and hunter mode let you score those headshots through walls! One of my all time favorite builds
-Salarian Engineer with the Executioner
Headshot enemies distracted by the decoy, Shield drain often for shields and DR, Incinerate for armor
-N7 Demolisher using the Saber
Arc Grenade all the things! Then headshot them with the saber, makes for easy matches ![]()
-Volus Engineer, Venom fire explosions
Cloak, toss recon mine, pew pew pew to prime enemies with the venom, detonate with Proxy mine, clean up with Recon mine
-Vorcha Hunter Arc Pistoleer
Throw Submission Net on everything then easy Redeemer headshots! Incinerate if they're still alive for a tech burst. Alternate Sub net and incinerate on bosses for tech bursts and to keep up both DOTs, hitting them with your charged arc pistol between casts. This is definitely my favorite Vorcha (not a fan of flamer)
-Turian Saboteur with the Lazor
Keep out your turret for distraction and extra pew pew. Sabotage for stun to get your Lazor charged, you can follow up sabotage with homing grenades for powerful tech bursts, when fighting geth, sabotage turns geth into mindless slaves and then aoe bombs after you kill them
I don't use cyclonic on him because high base shields and a good dodge
- Talon Mercenary Venom and BOOMS!
No grenade gear??! Waaat? No, geth scanner lets you know where to put your mines, so they have time to arm before the enemy comes around the corner. Use your charged Venom shots to stun the enemy so your Armor Piercing arrow can kill it. Please NEVER spam Cain mines. I get far more melee and shotgun kills per match than i do Cain mines, but the cain mines are vital, try to keep them up in decent spots where you can see an enemy will trip them.
-Quarian Female with the Claymoar
Keep your turret out for distraction and extra pew pew. Hit everything with a cryo blast followed by a Claymoar headshot and watch everything crumble, if they survive, then an incinerate will usually kill them with that nifty cryo explosion thrown in
You can use the HVB and incendiary ammo if you wanna do the weight glitch and incendiary cheese, i usually don't like to do the weight glitch but to each their own ![]()
-Quarian Male and whatever
This guy throws out tech combos like the fury throws out bio booms. He's one of the few characters i've gotten non-Cobra killstreaks with. Weapon doesn't even hardly matter, I like pistols/smg's so i can use the power magnifier. Use incinerate followed by an arc grenade for a fire explosion, followed by an incinerate for a tech burst, followed by an arc grenade for a fire explosion...rinse and repeat, profit? Fire your weapon of choice between powers and use Tac Scan on Bosses and phantoms (for your team). This guy is easy mode, he handles every enemy type just as effectively as the others. Just an amazing kit, it's mind blowing to me how underused this guy is, he's one of the 10 least played kits in the game :/
First results are in:
All my builds are without pets (Too many things for my old fart brain to manage
) and full fitness (I'm told that makes me a scrub - guilty as charged
)
QFE Executioner
First tested on Ghost hazard / Reapers / Gold
Heavy barrel and extended mag, Geth scanner (as in the vid in the post above), Pistol Amp III, Incendiary ammo and Adrenaline III
Must say I was disappointed. Stayed alive really well, but my kills were being stolen (I jest) all over the shop. Partly as the Executioner seems so slow, and my aim is not great with it. I think I'll be trying some other weapons with her. Finished last in this pug even though some clutching was involved. 4/10
SE Valiant Cool Miester
White / Geth / Gold
Heavy Barrel and light scope, Cryo ammo IV*, Adrenaline III, and Sniper Amp gear
*I took the cryo explosion evo in carnage. I have sooo much cryo ammo I just never use.
This was really fun!!! Not a score ******, but survivable and very different for me. Using SD as a stun power and shield boost.
Finished 2nd and I would def go again with this kit. 8/10
GE Sabre
White Hazard / Cerberus / Gold
Heavy barrel, Extended mag, AR Gear, Incendiary Ammo IV, Cyclonic II (Short on IV's at the moment)
For starters I couldn't see a thing through the White hazard fog with HM enabled!
Really didn't enjoy this. Went down a lot and found aiming the Sabre heavy going unless using hard cover (I think it's harder than the Crusader!!!).
Imagine my surprise when I found I was topping the board on every wave (even against an AIU!!). Dragoons were the biggest problem, I just couldn't see them coming, but boss units, including Phantoms went down very quickly. Finished top with a humble 120K. 7/10
I think this one needs more shields next time, at least for my scrubby play style.
Thanks all for the ideas, and not falling asleep if you read this cr** ![]()
Caster QFE
The proper way to play her
QFT
Best QFE player I've ever seen. She actually played the QFE too and not some ridiculous Claymore soldier wannabe. Kinda inspiring.
Had a hard time figuring out what to do with the VHE, so I messed around and landed on this build:
http://kalence.drupa...13N53364!3EGC85
Maybe a hybrid tech-weapons-melee thingy, but I sure do have a lot of fun with it.

I've seen this FQE in action three times now, and it kicked serious butt each time.
I copied it after just one look, and believe me. I took a good look! ![]()
Mine's just a pale imitation though, solid but unremarkable. Velanna's a bloody 1 girl wrecking crew with that thing!

Try the Indra on the GE. Most people write it off as a piece of garbage, but I find it to be brilliant on this setup:

Don't worry man, sometimes you'll see the light too

To my scrubby eyes that looks like a bit of a camping set-up. Surely if you move away from your pet you'll be dead in seconds?
Maybe that's why I've never bothered much with engineers. Pets can be a problem when you go on holiday ![]()
The Vanilla Human kits are all much of a muchness when it comes to health/sheilds so there's no real reason not to play the Engineer like a soldier ... just one with drones and zappers and burners instead of grenades. The Venom with shotgun ULM and disruptor rounds works pretty well (also works with the Falcon - but then, most engineers do).
200% CD with a Viper which you're basically using as a long-range ammo effect applicator ... the Valiant is probably a better alternative but I like the way the CDs synch with the Viper and it amuses me to take a lowly uncommon weapon into U/U/G games and do well with it ![]()
See spawn, carefully apply 1 Arc grenade then add a healthy dose of Scorpion shells; follow up with another Arc Grenade or Incinerate to liberally coat the spawn point with gooey red gibbage.
Falcon ... it's the most reliable way to ensure that your SubNet will connect - it can't be dodged by staggered enemies! The basic premise is to lock down mobs by hitting them with the Falcon, dropping a SubNet (with electric field) into the middle of them, and then detonating the whole lot with Incinerate (if they're not dead by then). Most effective against Cerberus because the only problem unit there is the Atlas, and Geth... if you're against Reapers/Collectors you're OK with Incendiary ammo, except for Banshess and Praetorians.

Couldn't agree more on the Viper. Much better weapon than it's given credit for, and so much fun to outscore with it. ![]()

Lol, I see your point, but I never camp and I almost never hipfire so relying on ADS is not an issue for me even in close quartes like Glacier.
Cooldown is still excellent so just launch turret where you want to reposition, advance, overload, shoot, overload and so on.
The Indra really benefits a lot from the accuracy and rof from HM and it's worth a try if it's is only collecting dust on a shelf somewhere.
Edit: I also think the utility of the turret is really good. I feel it's role in keeping my "decoys" alive is more importent than constantly boosting my own shields.

Here is an Executioner build where no kills will get stolen from you. Overload-shoot combo will one-shot pretty much any mook on Gold. You may need a headshot for Pyros and Possessed Collectors, I guess. For bosses, just Incinerate - shoot - Overload - shoot, etc., using your powers to reload cancel the Executioner. You will keep chaining fire explosions, and they will go down in no time.
EDIT: I guess you could skip the Drone and go full fitness too.

HE Executioner
I went with your build except I dumped the drone and maxed fitness (scrub for life!).
This is a much better build than the QFE Executioner IMHO. Very survivable and more efficient. TBH I think Incendiary Ammo would work better and not bother with the Geth scanner. Played Reapers/Giant/Gold with some really good players. Although I only finished 3rd it still felt good. (Not sure what the score was, ended in that loading screen!). I just need to learn how to synergize Overload and Incinerate better with the Executioner reload. 8/10
GE Sabre
Had another go with this guy. Full monty this time with AR Gear, AR Amp III, Drill Rounds and Cyclonic IV. Ghost Hazard/Geth/Gold with some French players.
I dominated from the start, and finished with a more respectable 160K and 20 head shots. In fact i think I prefer this to my GI Piranha. 9.5/10
Thanks to all for the ideas. Having a lot of fun with a class I've virtually not touched in 2 years!!!
I originally started playing the Vorcha Engineer as a kit to get rid of my SMG amps and Cryo ammo
Does a nice job with CC and you get some TBs and the occasional Cryo Explosion
I'll sometimes switch the CSMG out for the Wraith or Talon,
or for loreiness the BPP or Executioner
HE Executioner II
This time with Incendiary Cheese IV, Pistol Gear V, Pistol Amp III and Power Amp IV
BIG difference. Reapers/White/Gold started as a duo with hellman77
Straight away it was good, still not godly but pretty powerful. Scored just over 100K (to Hellman77's 130K)
Was just getting into a Cerb/Ghost/Gold trying AP ammo, things were going very well when the PS3 screen freeze hit. ![]()
I think my aim with the Executioner is the weak link, otherwise a great build.
