So we know that Inquisition does not scale it's enemies to match the PC's level and that some areas are higher levels than others, forcing the player to come back and fight through it at later levels. So how much choice will the Inquisitor have at their disposal at any given level?

In Mass Effect 1, there were four pieces to the puzzle of hunting down Saren and Shepard could pursue them in mostly any order. But in the Old Republic, the order of planets was mostly set in stone with one or two rare and difficult exceptions.

The other two Mass Effect games seemed sort of half way between the two extremes. Dragon Age Origins had quests you could technically peruse in any order but some were obviously, meant to be done later than others given how hard the enemies were. Has Bioware said how directed the Inquisitors big picture long term path will be?

We haven't had word, but I think the game will be like ME2. You have to grow the Inquisition to end the tears, you'll hit milestones as you finish a series of 'main' quests to pacify regions gather allies, and then the "main" story will trigger at that point.

And for that matter, I always wonder when Ihear about systems like this, just how set in stone the levels are.  Can a Level 5 Inquisitor Curb stomp a Level 10 Wolf with tactics, patience, and the rest of the team?  Or is it so unforgiving that there is no way you can defeat something with that high a level over you?  In TOR from my experience it did seem like it was pretty much set in stone and quests were impossible to complete if you were not the right level for them, even if you brought someone else at times.

But personally I believe that no matter what you do in a region there should be lower level enemies you should be able to deal with when exploring and others you can't so you have to come back later.  So you aren't just going to have to turn right back around when you enter an area there will always be something to do and explore...unless you are running low on supplies.

I'm guessing Inquisition will be structured much like Mass Effect 2 in terms of progression... At least insofar as the narrative is concerned. Somewhat open, but mostly linear introduction. The second act is when the game opens up and lets you tackle most things as you see fit, or as your combat prowess allows. (Organic walling). From Climax to End I assume it to be a straight shot.

Again, I base this off nothing, but if I ever had to point to a well-paced Bioware Game, it was definitely Mass Effect 2, so that's a great reference point.

I hope that unlike the ME franchise you can recruit all your companions as early as possible.

Also take into consideration that sections of the game will not be seen depending on which path your character takes. I get the vibe that as a leader, they're going to allow freedom in which areas you liberate but im assuming certain major areas essential to the story will be linear. I prefer some boundaries or else itll be an unorganized mess like Skyrim in terms of story telling

Yeah, I hate when you get your allies so late you can't get to know them before it's over.

At least DAI will continue after the main quest is over so you can just delay side quests until then if they are recruited late.

Hopefully linear enough that you don't accidently get a companion after most of the game is done when you could have had them really near the begining. (Not that the first time I did da2 I did fenrises recruitment quest as literally the last thing of the first part and so missed a bunch of chances to get approval HIS QUEST DIDN'T SOUND IMPORTANT IT WAS JUST SOME DWARF ASKING FOR HELP I DIDN'T KNOW IT HAD A COMPANION AT THE END)

But not so linear you don't get a lot of choice in what order you get to do things and go explorin and whatnot.

Same. The latest trailer gave me hope that we'd be able to recruit everyone fairly early. Sadly, the trailer was probably doing the age old trick of splicing dialogue from another part of the story into a scene where it looks awesome. Fingers crossed, though. I don't want the gray warden, Sera, or DHMG to be Inquisition's Legion/Tali/Samara.

I'd be fine with them doing something like ME1 or Origins, where by the time you are halfway done you have everybody. Though I'd prefer DA2 where by the end of the first Act equivalent we have them all.

DA2's method was nice, aye. Getting to kind of choose the order that you recruit your companions in is great for when you have a specific party in mind. I hope that Inquisition's Prologue/Act 1 is going to be about gathering companions, building your initial member base, and finding Skyhold. I can't imagine how the introductions of some characters are going to go down though. It's going to be a real treat seeing how characters like Iron Bull, Cole, and Vivienne are introduced.
