We may meet characters that were connected to his story, but they are likely older now.

He isn't even important in-universe there is no reason to show his past or search for it that character was important only in the prologue then he died. IT would have some sense if they did it in dao but now nope...

We heard most of his history in The Calling

Unless the Grey Warden companion personally knew Duncan, we won't hear anything outside of what we know from The Calling and DA:O

There's a theory that The Grey Warden is his brother, dont know if there's any legitimacy behind that

As much as I would actually like that
That was only a fan speculation for fun

Yea, the only "evidence" if thats what you'd call it, is the similarity in looks, he looks like duncan with a beard. Although in concept art he looks Caucasian

I still would love it, as they do kind of resemble each other. UGH

The Calling really fleshes out who Duncan was prior to meeting Maric/the PC in Origins and how he came to be the way he was.

It's a younger Duncan who got sent into the future. Knowing that his death would lead to the victory over the 5th Blight, he goes back in time to keep the timeline intact. ![]()

If you have companions with you when you meet Alistair, maybe he'll ask the beard warden if he knew Duncan. Other than that or some item that's a reference to him, I don't think we'll see much of Duncan or his past, which was explained pretty thoroughly in the Calling.
It's still lame that Bioware deliberately had his body not there at Ostagar only to go "Lolno, he's dead."

Wait, didn't Alistair say that he knew a bearded Warden? The one who could outdrink everyone else?

Yea, that's why I suspect he could be Gregor/Grigor

Yes, that's who a lot of people think it is but I mean.... lots of men have beards.

Yes, but the chances of them being one and the same would be under 1%. My money's on him being either Orlesian or Anderfels.

I don't know why, that's literally a 1/1000 chance. Do you not realize how many bearded Grey Wardens there more than likely are?

He did! I can't remember whether it was a human or a dwarf, though.
But then, if he's the same guy, where was he during DAO?!?

Yes, that's why I consider it a possibility but has doubt
