Personally I'm planning on playing on the PS4 and I have a LOT of gaming discs so I've been very Digital lately so I was wondering if there was going to be something along the lines of a Deluxe Edition or a Collector's edition with all of the fancy pre-order bonuses for those of us going digital for our consoles?

I'd imagine so. Does EA usually put there games up on PSN digitally?

Ugh! I hate digital downloads though.

I could imagine so. Both Microsoft and Sony are pushing for digital releases this generation.

PSN does make me laugh, new digital games are usually a tenner dearer than a physical copy of the game, what incentive do I have then to get a digital copy over a physical copy.

PSN does make me laugh, new digital games are usually a tenner dearer than a physical copy of the game, what incentive do I have then to get a digital copy over a physical copy.

- No disc to insert when it's time to play your game
- No disc-swapping for hypothetical multi-disc games
- No clutter in your shelves
- Game unlocks at midnight of the day of the release (with a physical copy you're lucky if a game store has a midnight launch event, and even then you still need to get yourself home before you can play)
- You can buy the game and "pick it up" without leaving your couch

There's probably more. Of course there's downsides as well, such as the "No clutter in your shelves" which obviously backfires by itself simultaneously by not giving you any cool, physical stuff. But different people lead different lives, as such a pro to one person is a con to another.

I'd still rather have extra money in my pocket. Also what happens to your games if say sony decided to shut down PSN or you got banned?

I'm sure that it'll up on Live/PSN upon release. What I'm not sure about is how they would handle pre-order content for the game. How do you pre-order something you don't have to go anywhere for? I also imagine that the content itself would be huge.

I have Titanfall as a download and it took up 16 gigs right off the bat. I can only imagine DAI is even bigger then that. So there goes your hard drive.

look until such time as we all have Fibre Optic Internat access with out Datacaps then disks will be required by a large number of us. Whether Microsoft and Sony want

it or not.
