I usually lurk around here, but I have a Qunlat name list here, http://wandering-lan...52/qunlat-names if anyone needs it. It's not perfect, and I may not have everything, but I've tried to make as many combinations as possible.

As boring as it sounds, my first character will probably use the default name.
During gameplay I'll probably write all the names I come across down and use one I like for another playthrough.

I would like to know the origin story first of the Qunmage if they are part of the circles then I'll probably think of something more normal if they are an apostate then I may go with something from the Qunlat language.

Hadn't really thought about it until reading this thread but I'm one for a little RP so...

 

Apart from simply picking relatively few words that have a qunlat translation its kind of hard to find a "real" qunari name so I decided to massage some of the words as if they had changed from a prolonged period of separation from the main group (what i presume the vashoth are) led me to choose:

 

Saerin for my Qunari mage.

 

Which i take to be kind of a cut up of Saar (dangerous) and Varin (lies, lay) thus "Danger Lay Within"

I think it would be neat if the Character Creator came with a random name generator (like KoTOR), maybe with names specific for each background/gender of the Inquisitor.  I've found some of my favorite character names through those generators.

Wow great idea! I loved her story.One of my favorite stories in there is of Zumurrud who might also fit, she became king and a just one, no matter how many people tried to hurt her, and while she was kind to her people, her enemies she actually killed in a horrendous fashion. She was economic, and brought wealth and happiness as King, when she revealed she was a woman, her people didn't care and said she was the best king they had ever had.

I might name a Qunari after her. Sides with Golden Keys, Always takes the good route, but shows very little to no mercy to her enemies. So eone whose first thought is for her people but has very deep personal grudges.

It will depend on the origin, I suppose. I'll probably give them a name befitting whatever culture they grew up among.

Her name will be Almera Amerantha Adaar. She's going to be a kickass rogue, ready to attack from the shadows with lightning fast skills.

I'm terrible at naming characters, but if I can't think of a better name till Inquisition gets released: 

 

Qrommida - A callous female Qunari dual-wield assassin

 

Sounds rough, qunari-ish without being too complex or impossible to spell. And I've never seen or heard that name before so...good enough for me for  now.
