Mage female: Atassh Astaarit = Glory Rises (head strong and arrogant, seek's to prove the Qun wrong about everything)

Warrior male: Kabethari = simple person (seeing as Qunari like to be all uppity i shall enjoy playing as the dumbest qunari that ever lived)

Warrior Female: Kata = Death (seriously, she's just killing everyone, boarderline sociopath)

Rogue male: Bob = Bob (Bob is Bob do not try to understand the thinking of Bob)

Rogue female: Issala imekarl = Dust child (yet to find her way in the world and one of only two qunari characters to choose their name [the other being Bob] truly a nice individual all innocent think like a so god damn nice it makes you want to vomit disney character.

USA  Why? I guess I really like ancient History, especially Eastern History because so much of it is erased in the pursuit of the Greeks invented everything, which they didnt, not even close. Even when I was younger to a certain extent, I realized that was hogwash, so I studied ancient cultures like Kush, Harrappan Empire, Ghenghis Khan's Mogol Empire, Ancient China. I am just a dabbler, but until recently I only knew that Ancient persia was a very sophisticated Empire which the Greeks(being Greeks, I mean it is their MO) remade as they wished. But even ancient scholars were nicer to Persia than Western Scholars today.

The idea Ancient Greece/Ancient Rome didnt use propaganda at all like any country does today, or more apt like they did before mass communications is showing the fatal flaw of history, but regardless, names...

Nusayba- A woman in the Quran who asked why Women were never addressed by God. Muhammed had a relevation after that and put down that women could achieve anything men could.

Rabia- A famous Sufi poet who believed people should not worship God out of Temptation OR Fear but Love.

Fatima is a common name in the Middle east with a bunch of famous women having that name.

Raziyya- Was a Sultan who insisted being called Sultan. She did a great deal of charitable works, she dressed as a man instead of a woman.

Nana Asma'u- was a Nigerian Princess who was incredibly intelligent and spent her time with a bunch of other women teachers, teaching others through the countryside.

With the family name Adaar I've been leaning towards something heavy on the vowels, perhaps with a long a sound, with sharp consonants.  Ash, which is qunlat for 'to seek', is what I'm primarily considering but I'm still researching.  Mainly Middle Eastern and Indonesian names.  I might start looking into African naming traditions and god/goddesses if I don't find something else I like.

I really do like topics like this, interesting to see how differently people go about naming their characters. I always have the same name for my special female characters and it simply is Nelisja (pronunciation Nelisha).

If they introduce the pitch modulation option in the game, I'll give my guy the deepest voice and call him Sovereign.

I'm probably gonna end up naming a female Qunari "Asala" after sten's sword and the male probably after Manu Bennett or any character he's ever portrayed, Crixus most likely.
