I'm having a pretty difficult time choosing which gun to use here as both seem to kill all the things pretty well.
The raider helps when I play off host and is really forgiving when I don't care to aim. The claymore seems like the classiest gun to roll with though.
It's pretty difficult to select one, both benefit from reload canceling pretty well regardless.
Anyone have any words to get me rolling on way or the other? I kind of need some advice here.
Raider because claymore is for krogans, if you're playing with a krogan then claymore
Serious answer: Would you rather destroy everything with one shot, or destroy everything with a couple of fast shots?

To me, Claymore and raider are kinda equal.
Venom, Wraith and Crusader are all better than those two IMO.
They really fill a totally different shotty niche each. But, to directly compare them I find I like the Claymore a whole lot more. Raider (and Wraith) having 2 shots doesn't compare to reload cancelling off of the one, more powerful shot IMO.
Both are better than the Wraith 
Honest opinion: Claymore = Wraith for me and Raider is more character dependent. So, Claymore > Raider for me.

Unless playing a Tsol I prefer the Claymore.
Just use the one you feel most comfortable with. As they are both great and fun to use, you can´t really go wrong with either. I personally prefer Raider over Claymore, by a fair margin. Perfect fit for my preferred style of play.

I think the question should be reworded as "Which is better: Claymore or Claymore?"....to which then I can respond with "why not both?"
Claymore is more general thus better. Raider is better in situations.
The three best shotguns are the,
1. Claymoar!
2. Claymoar! aaaaand...
3. CLAYMOAR!
......followed by the raider
Claymore, although, I handle both very well. Claymore can still be used as a sniping shotgun while the Raider tends to lose its uniqueness when faced with enemies from a distance.
