The Raider is just lovely for close-up work, particularly when you're being rushed by multiple opponents and you don't have good CC powers to stagger them.  On kit/map combinations where I'm not as worried about killing multiple onrushing combatants as fast as possible, and especially where the issue might be returning fire on far-away opponents, the Claymore or Wraith seems more applicable.  With just a level I Wraith (and no Talon, for that matter...), I'll often use the Claymore X instead if cooldown isn't a huge issue.

Raider wins in paper dps iirc. Rest is preference. I.e. I like Raider on fast kits or with AM III and kits with accuracy bonus, the Claymoar I like on every kit tbh.

PS: I prefer Raider onhost.

For it me depends on the map and kit...

 

- smaller map / CQC fighting: Raider

- bigger map / mid range fighting: Claymore

I always thought the reegar was a terrible sniper rifle.

I like the Raider a lot more and I feel it's a better gun if I have the ability to close in to the enemy. I also like my 20 headshot medal for my raider.

 

But if I'm playing a more fragile class, then the claymore.

Prefer Raider. Gives me more shots between reloads and that's just fine for me. That one extra shot has saved myself and many teammates in past situations.

About dps... Reegar is an abomination, I ain't gonna talk about that. Apart from that, the Raider has the highest dps in the game, bar none.
