This. Offhost and close quarters maps the Raider edges out the Claymore. At any range the Claymore is effective though, it's probably the more versatile cannon.

Whether you like it or not, u will always have a fav. Even when choosing alba or jolie, between raider and claymore, ill go claymore.
Claymore is more balanced even with 1 shot, dont need powers like huntermode to improve on raider, and raider is very up close and personal, with claymore you don’t have to be in the face in the enemy to really hit the target.

Yes, this. Why's it always gotta be either/or? Raider OR Claymore is like, Angelina Jolie OR Jessica Alba, sex OR money, chocolate OR caramel. If I have to choose between them, then I reject the question.
None of those are choices; they are only foolish alternatives. I'll let you figure out which ones are the no-brainers.

I love the heck out of the Raider, but the Claymore is still the clear winner to me.
I prefer the Raider for classes where I'm going to be mostly in CQC (e.g., the Cabal). The extra shot plus more frequent power usage helps in CQC, where a single Claymore miss can be deadly. Plus, CQC negates the only real disadvantage of the Raider.
Claymore on everything else (unless I care about cooldown).
I don't like the Raider all that much except on accuracy classes. For most of the classes when I want something lighter than the Claymore I will go Wraith.
Overall? Raider. Its imo more versatile, and has great ammo priming. But it somewhat depends or which kit I would be using and weather or not I would want to leverage the claymore's range.
Claymore is a great weapon though, fun to use, and even without reload canceling, its still good. Having said that, why BSN worships this weapon is beyond my understanding. It is without any doubt the most overrated weapon in the game. To each their own I suppose.

Raider on non accuracy boosting class feels like Sarah J Parker in the peanut butter.

Raider has better DPS, but burst damage is also important, especially on higher difficulties.
I'd be looking for a comparison between the Claymore and the Wraith, TBH, not the Raider. I prefer Wraith on some classes, cause cooldown reasons, but I only need it on one - the Novaguard. I still find it difficult to use the Claymore on him, cause Platinum hits you with so much f***ing damage and stagger that the i-frames are not enough. I need to L2P the Claymore Novaguard.
Still, i'd say the Wraith and Claymore perform better than the Raider and the Claymore feels best.
