Man I am really trying to avoid not pre creating a team so many months before the game is actually relesaed.  :/  But Cassandra really sounds like my kind of girl and the type I based my Shepard off of...with some variation of course .  And Varric my Hawke really got a long with him and he was on my A team for DA 2 so its going to be hard to include him especially if I create another sassy sarcastic Rogue.  Though honestly I am a lot more confident about Varric being the fixture on the team rather then Cassandra.  I don't know her...yet...but I would like to.

Only part of the map is viewable though.  Besides I thought Fereldan had already been confirmed? I thought the areas would span Fereldan, Orlais and The Free Marches(but no Starkhaven).  Or is that just something I made up in my head?

From Eastern Ferelden to all of Orlais. So that sounds like most, if not all of Ferelden.

To be honest, even if they revealed no new information for the next few months, I think I'd be happy just getting more images of the group together like this.

Well we don't know obviously but in all the promotional stuff we have seen for the game its the Emeral Graves which is IN the Dales.  Not Emerald Graves which is IN Orlais or Emerald Graves which is in the Dales which is in Orlais.  From a lore standpoint Dales is in Orlais but I think for the gameplay they will be treated as two seperate regions.

Same here.  This photo get's me 10x as excited as the information about the snowy area does.

I love companion shots. I like seeing them way more than the environment shots. Not that I don't like seeing the environments, but the companions are easily the most important part of the game, for me.

Considering one of the Dales area is the battlefield used for the Orlesian Civil war, I don't think it is treated as a separate region in game at all. In fact, I think most of our "Orlesian" adventures will be in the Dales and the Western Approach.

 

You either talk of countries (Orlais/Ferelden) or regions (Dales, Western Approach, etc), mixing both is just confusing.
