I also pre orderd the deluxe edition for the pc. I will be on the lookout for a new gfx card in the next few months and also started a new playthrough of Origins ( with skip fade and skip fight mods   ) just to make some decisions i wouldn't normally make and then will start another DA2 game with that import and do the same...

Funny, the only reason I've ever preordered previous Bioware games was because they had Day 1 DLC'S. Right now, there seems to be really nothing for me to invest extra money for.
Maybe the art book may change my mind though. But for now I'll just buy the game on it's own.

As this is the second of only two games I plan on buying this year (because the rest of my money ends up going to family expenses) buying things for myself is a treat. I am waiting for information on the collectors/uber/inquisitor's edition...and hoping I won't need to upgrade my desktop to play it.

Getting my collectors edition of drakengard 3 in a couple weeks tho. *rubs hands together* something to do until October.

I'm not entirely sold on its story: Hole in sky---Demons pour out of hole---Protagonist has magic hand---sew up hole in sky....

 

While there may be other things going on plot-wise to potentially compensate for the main narrative, I'm weary & in waiting on a decision.

Was kind of hoping to see what else is the "bonus digital content" in the deluxe, IE is it first story dlc or something or just more pluff that i wouldn't actually use b/c I can get 20/25% off the regular edition preorder over at GMG...plus no tax which origin charges now...$79 vs $48 hrmmm

Will wait for system recommended spec announcement. If after some research I expect my system to be able to run it properly (medium setting) then I will be pre-ordering. If it's higher than what I have (meaning playing it on low setting) then I'll pass.

I'm guessing that depends on where you are - and I'm also guessing that you're in Canada .

 

My local game shop hasn't had launch parties for the previous Dragon Age games, but I chatted to the guys behind the counter and they're keen to do one if they get enough interest. (So if anyone out there happens to live near Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Australia and doesn't have a problem pre-ordering from EB Games ...) It probably wouldn't hurt to ask your store.

I pre-ordered just so I could angrily storm into the store a couple of days later demanding that they cancel it because Bioware didn't have something I wanted in the game.

Pre-odered in Origin, payed with PayPal and got billed right away. Was it PayPla that wants to be sure I will have money at time of payment, or Origin itself - can not say. Now I can only pray Origin system understands that I indeed payed for the game and I will not be billed twice.

I was this [ ] close to preordering the Deluxe Edition just a moment ago but then managed to click on "put on wishlist" instead. Hum. I don't actually want any of the fluff that comes with the Deluxe Edition - except the soundtrack. I want the soundtrack!!! But I cant really justify the expense for the Deluxe Edition just because of that... can I?

Yep, me too. I'm almost decided that I'm getting it on the PS4 (DA:I was one of the main reasons why I wanted a PS4 actually) but I have played DA:O and DA2 and everything else up to this point on my PC and I'm afraid that the "console" experience might be much different from what I am used to. Maybe I should hold out until I can compare the console and the PC version (especially concerning the UI).

 

Speaking of price, if the uber edition is anywhere above $100, I won't get it.

 

I hope it's something closer to ME3's CE around the $80 mark.

 

Since the Deluxe Edition is already at EUR 80,00 at amazon.de right now (and $70 at amazon.com, wth? It's even more in €?!) I somehow doubt that a CE will be around $80 - it sure would be nice though. I loved all MEs and DA:O to pieces (DA2 not so much) that I'm really regretting that I didn't get a CE for any of them. So maybe I'll get a CE this time?

Well ok I just saw the CE (head over to the Twitter thread, or here)... $170 (no plushy  ), so no CE for me, but since my last post I listened to the original DA:O soundtrack and was reminded of how AWESOME it is, so it's the Deluxe Edition for me if for the soundtrack only.
