If anyone is to bring an object that causes danger to the world and cause untold deaths then Hawke has to be the one to do it, because that seems to be their purpose in life.

I'm surprised no one has suggested it it! What if it was ANDERS?!!! He is the one with a history of blowing up giant important buldings! He wanted to blow up one more thing, he did say there was no longer room for a peaceful solution, for compromise. So he heard wind of this peace thing, and he decided he just HAD to blow it up!

LMAO *hides before all Anders' love interests kills her!!!*   ^_^

I was under the impression Bioware wouldn't be bringing Anders back from the dead.

Not all of us killed Anders  ;). Of course, there's always the chance that he couldn't live with himself and he committed suicide in the end I suppose.  Also, I did say "SUGGESTED". There's usually some Anders hater or other jumping to that sort of banter,  :D I was merely expressing my shock at not seeing it thus far. That's all.

I hope B-Ware doesn't pull a Revan I want our Inquisitors to have fleshed out backgrounds.

I think that most likely the reason we will be there will be as a Soilder/Mercenary or a represenitive at the talks.

Remember people this is also probably (not confirmed but mostly likely the case) a general peace conference, not just the mage templar war but also the civil war in orlais everyone has a stake in both conflicts and would put even more diverse class of people there. The Dalish for one would have more of stake in the conference over just a purely mage templar war also fereldan has a huge stake in both of those wars.

There's no way all those factions would be at the same conference simply because they'd never reach a compromise because they aren't fighting for the same thing.

Yet it makes the most sense for the amount of people who died. The temple, unless they moved it of the urn of sacred ashes, is to remote also not saying all the leaders are there also but it would be the best chance to send all the major factions into a bit of chaos and them all to suspect each other for the cause of the breach, as well to allow the inquisitor a chance for so much power.

http://www.gameinfor...on-trailer.aspx   (sum semi- spoilery stuffs in there. so, yeah)

"Your character, the Inquisitor, is the only survivor of the blast. You don’t remember exactly how you survived, but the circumstances are bizarre. 'You survived this blast, but you actually walked out of the Fade when the soldiers found you,” Lee says. “So, you get pushed into the Fade, and as a consequence, you are marked.' ”

So, the soldiers see us walking out of the Fade?  And we get pushed into the Fade....(how rude....)

Or the Breach just had a large blast radius. This thing will eventually consume the world, so it's not surprising it starts off 'with a bang'.

The radicals who blow up the peace conference might not have anything to do with Anders, he is dead in many people's play throughs after all, and we've already been told his actions set off a chain of events throughout Thedas. I'm sure he's not the only person who deals with their problems by blowing up bystanders, but also there are so many important people at the conference the bomber could've wanted any one of them dead. (It's likely whoever's in charge of tearing the Veil is the one who did this, too)

As for why we're there, I think it's important to note that the Human Quizzy strolls out of the Fade and into Cassandra's loving accusations wearing full armor. We've only seen the human male Inquisitor do this, but it's significant. If he were a regular farmer or there to sell everyone corn he wouldn't be that decked out.

I think that we'll be something relatively non-defined, like a guard for one the factions (and perhaps we get to choose which one, if we can remember). Or perhaps we've been planted there by the Big Bad as part of his plot. Who knows?

I know what Anders did was very VERY bad. But I've yet to do a play through where I kill him. I think I'll try that on my next one  ;). I'm currently doing a play through where I am going to side with the Templars for the very first time. You know, just for the sake of seeing how that works out. Gotta say though....siding with the Templars goes against everything in me!!! I keep siding with the Templars and go "Sorry, sorry!" lol.

Good point. Though, I am not sure our Inquisitor would come out of the fade in that exact outfit though. We usually start out with some noobie stuff lol. Though, if we do, that'd be awesome. I just hope though, that this time around, they make the female outfits look like well... FEMALE outfits! lol

As interesting as I find the "WHY is the Inquisitor there" I'm also very interested to know why in Thedas they were all meeting at the Temple of the Sacred Ashes place?! I mean... -_- That location isn't the most... conveniently placed. And, according to the ending on Origins the place ended up in ruins...I didn't kill the High Dragon you see, they theorized that the Dragon destroyed it before it abandoned its resting place there lol. And even if it wasn't in ruins... it's not the easiest place to get to! I want to know WHY all those people where meeting there. Then of course, I want to know WHO/WHAT/HOW set off the explosion lol. I know we'll find out in due course...I hope.

Qunari because free candy.

Human because they heard they're serving ham from the Anderfels and wants to see if it really tastes of despair.

Elf because these damn shems are up to something.

Dwarf because human politics reminds them of their childhood

I think each race choice will have a different "origin" if you will as to why they are there, what i find interesting aswell is if each class will also play apart in that origin

We were told that the trailer armor is just the generic trailer inquisitor armor which has been used in marketing so far.

The actual armor may be different.

Elena,

Siding with the Templars doesn't have to mean tranquility enforcer or Mage oppressor.

There are numerous examples where the Circle and the Templars have wiggle room to work, especially with mages who have passed the Harrowing. There are also numerous examples of mages being trained other than the Circle who are "good" and not demon worshiping morons.

There are just as many examples of facist even psychotic Templars as well, but then there are just as many of the same examples for Mages.

Of course the Trophy/Achievement for siding with the Templars does require more Meredith-style choices, but if you don't care about that out-of-game thing the above POV is totally valid.

And when it comes to the end game, both sides commit atrocities and "good" characters within both sides will fight the extreme morons causing the trouble.

I guess what I'm really saying is don't believe siding with the Templars or Mages is purely what makes the Trophy pop. Throughout the game you can support one, the other or both and be completely consistent in your logic.

Here's a more serious thought, what if Cassandra were to interrogate you as to why you were there and you're given options.

Example - Human Mage

Cass: "Why were you at the conference? "
Mage:
a) "I was part of the Circle representatives"
b ) "I was part of the mage alliance"
c) "I'm an apostate for hire"

Then everybody wins

Eh, I'd rather something like that happens before the breach

Add in "Conference?" As an answer and I'm sold.

Certainly, my qunquisitor is not a cheap stripper. Such body maintenance is expensive, specially gym.

Well, all the effort we went through to set up the Breach would have been wasted had we not been there to absorb the power it released.

This would make me cry. :)

Oh I know :). In general I tend to be a bit more on the neutral side lol. Seeing both good and bad points to both Templars and Mages. It's only in Kirkwall that I have such a hard time siding with Templars because Meredith is stark raving mad lol. But, I like exploring every single option, I left the siding 100% with the Templars as the last of all my play throughs. Hmm, though with 5 more months to go before DAI is out, I might end up playing the game a few more times.

LMAO I wonder what a "Neutral" Inquisitor will look like. Wonder if that'll even be possible. The game does have a way of making you chose one side or the other lol.  Anyhow, Thanks for your input Zam! :)
