Okay, what about advantages in marketing because of the exclusivity deal? Xbox support in selling the game - priority positions on the Xbox Live dashboard, a prime place in Microsoft's E3 conference.

Trying to understand their decision-making with imperfect information is a bad idea.

I'm not saying it's a cut and dry issue.  Nor am I saying it doesn't make sense for them from a financial perspective.  I'm definitely saying from an image and a "we treat our customers right" standpoint this seems like a bad call for EA and unfortunately by association Bioware.  Don't we have enough information to make that call?

Like a shot where she's not in movement? True the fight was a bit hectic so you didn't get the best look of her but I think the end shot of her standing with the companions was good. I like her silly pulled-too-high pants

at least she wasn't wearing Jeggings

Sorry if it's already been asked but does anyone know when Inquisitions next going to show up at E3, and if so where it can be watched?

Thanks in advance, and great trailers and gameplay so far Bioware, this game's looking amazing.

Im really dissapointed with just one single thing about the game - womens. They all look... most of them not appeal at all, some even ugly. Heck, that ****** from Witcher's gameplay video are better then all of them.

That's actually one of the things I found appealing. Women are treated pretty poorly in Witcher games in my opinion.  Even during their gameplay vid today when he rescued the woman I thought to myself "so after I defeat the Griffin I can come back and collect her sex card".  Nothing realistic about it.  In Bioware games some of the women are gorgeous, some are cute, and some are frankly ugly.  And all of them aren't sexually available to you.  I think that's a good thing and helps immerse me in the world.

I didn't say they were bad. They kind of make her look like a dork and I think it's cute.

and I was under the impression that Bioware has their own funding. not all their money comes directly from EA. Bioware takes a share of the profits from the games they make, not a preset amount of money (the commission for the game)... as such Bioware would have funds put aside to develop games/content. any extra funding would be cherry on the cake as far as I can see from a business point of view. EA would not get 100% of the profits, at most they might take out large dividends.
So this idea that funds from Microsoft are what create the DLC in the first place doesn't really hold much water.
I could be wrong entirely and I accept that, or it could just be an excuse that is used to inform the employees.

That woman there was most likely a prostitute. I called it by word W.) from Witcher's gameplay video are better then all of them.

*blink* They look fine to me. Sera looks more boyish than I thought, but the women we've seen so far: Morrigan, Vivienne, Cassandra, Lelianna, they look fine. Now what we need to see is a full view of fem!Quizzy's face.

the point is that globally across all platforms only about 10% of gamers actually finish the campaigns...now just think about that and Mass Effect 3's ending, only 42% of people who bought ME3 finished it and experienced the horrible ending (sorry it still sucks and I don't know how they could ever have fixed it) and remember the up roar from that ending...and only a small percentage of us of that 42% were vocal...

timed exclusives mean (for apparently according to the numbers the vast majority of gamers) most gamers will never experience them

I know ME3's ending stung bad but why wouldn't finish the game for yourself? Why not finish what you started?! It said half of  people finished ME2 which is surprising!

Im just refering to appearance. Looks like the female inquisitor i'll creaete will be the best looking woman in game.

As i said, the problem is that there is none of the known DAI womans that are appealing to me. None.

My personal opinion is the same here as well - none of them are looking good. Leliana and Morrigan from past games looks much better then in this one. Cassandra and Vivienne aren't at all. Probobly because completely not my type of woman.

I just have an impression that BW aren't ready for those technologies. Faith from Mirror's Edge so far is the sexiest NextGen girl in the whole industry. And it's the same technology btw!

That's like asking why would you finish Ride to Hell: Retribution. Mass Effect is awful. Long Live Dragon Age! <3

It's likely "complicated" in the sense that BioWare is given money by EA and then there's a degree of delegation and assumption that BioWare will put that money to appropriate use.  But BioWare is wholly owned by EA, so any capital that BioWare has is effectively EA's capital and the entirety of our earnings is counted for on EA's accounting books.

Vivienne is more than she appears to be. I will admit the thought of flemeth popped into my head. Her eye colour is different in one of the videos (a blue instead of the brown normally shown), coupled with an evil looking smirk, flemeth-esque swagger and the horn like adornments on her helmet. Probably very out there in terms of theory but still, it is fun to theorise.

.....You do realize that Bioware has better things to do with DA:I and their use of the Frostbite engine then win some 'Hottest Women in Video Games' contest, right? Just because none of the women we've seen so far are 'hot' by your standards doesn't mean Bioware isn't 'ready for those technologies'.

I am just talking for myself but sometimes I run right thru a game other times something happens that makes me lose interest. It could be anything like with Mass Effect on PC there was a glitch with the Galaxy map that broke the game. I didn't not go back to Mass Effect until 2-3 months before ME2s release.

I have finished DA:O twice (maybe 3 times) in all these years but I know I have playthrus of every origin and some doubled up for different classes or genders.

Maybe it has to do with many people not finishing the game when the stats are collected and released? That only seems to happen once.

Since I am here I would of liked to see more of the tactical camera since its been a long time since we have seen it in use.

Mass Effect isn't awful it's awesome! I know ME3's ending hurts the franchise but Mass Effect is a great trilogy!

I was also referring to appearance.  In Witcher the vast majority of women have cleavage, model figures, and are at least moderately flirtatious if they don't outright throw themselves at you.  Even characters you can't actually have discussions with.  I definitely agree with you about Faith.  I love that character model.  Sexy but she also looks tough as nails.

If you own a PS4, you can look up the stats for yourself (only for the PS3 version obviously) all trophies are now accompanied by a completion %.

I just happen to have some written down from another thread.

DA:O

Ultimate Sacrifice 16.9%

Dark Promise 24.3%

DA2

Champion of Kirkwall 37%

Those are the completion figures.

So Da women are not sexy to you so bioware are not ready for the new tech.

So she's one of Morrigan's evil 'sisters'? Now that would be a plot twist.

But she's black. Unless Flemeth did the deed with an Rivaini or Antivan, I'd say no.
