I don't like the sound of these dialogue you can just walk out of. I hope they're not like the "side-missions" of ME3 where you're just eavesdropping on everyone.
I imagine it'll be like that. Not sure why you think it's a bad thing, though. There were some really great stories in those conversations.

So according to Laidlaw, non-companion characters will have a good amount of importance in the story, and judging from the Leliana scene, I don't doubt that, so I think people who were worried about romancing non-companions and having them stay solely in the castle should be a little bit relieved at that. That said, I'm liking the way the game is shaping up to be, but I wish we had more gameplay scenes, especially with the dialogue! It was really just the Inquistor walking around the world, though I am glad that they chose to showcase a female qunari.

I think it's more like you go into a cut scene but it's not a fixed camera so at any time you move your control sticks/mouse to leave and you walk off.

As soon as they said about the romances my mind wandered to this forum and though 'aww it's going to blow up over there.' Eep.

First let me get my criticism out of the way. Disclaimer: I absolutely loved the showing but I do have one huge issue.
The Animations in the cinematic looked very jittery, particularly in whole body shots or wide frame shots. I think this is consistent with how Mass Effect 2 and 3 looked, but it's disappointing that it hasn't been fixed yet.
Other than that, absolutely stellar. The combat, the pacing, the visuals, the dragon. Insanely good. When the clip isn't cut to pieces, you can actually see just how Origins-like the combat really is, including complex stat and attribute breakdowns of your enemy targets.
Amazing, haters gonna hate, I thought it was a better show than The Witcher 3, though DA:I Is much closer to launch.

I assumed they wanted to show off the inquisitor alone without cluttering up the screen with party members.

No. You'll get a GUI notification allowing you to "opt in" to the conversations with the dialogue wheel as normal. But you can also opt out and stop if you are so inclined to do so.
It is possible to only have 1 companion left by the end of the game but it is very hard to make everyone leave you....
Would be nice if they showed the tactical camera in action on a PC build though.

I'm thoroughly satisfied with this interview and can't wait for the next stuff. I need this game already.

They said that you could only use the tactical cam while paused on consoles, but that you could keep it on in the PC version. Would be nice to see a battle in tactical cam mode, though they may not have made a demo build for the PC.
That was good, I liked it. The interview was well done and the game was presented beautifully. I can't wait to watch the gameplay minus the talking heads, though they were great either way.
