The combat looked really good. Much better than that short clip of the dragon fight yesterday, I knew it would be better when we saw more of it.

Tactical view looks AWESOME.
I can't say the same for that UI though.
As a console player, I am looking forward to the tactical view. I would like to try and always wished I could. I actually like the UI though.

I think it's more like you can start a conversation with someone, then decide part way through that you'd rather be doing something else. Instead of having to have the whole conversation, you can say, "Hey, can we do this later?" and walk away.
At least, that was the impression I got.
But didn't he talk about how these conversations wouldn't happen in a cutscene where the camera switches focus between the people speaking?

Yep....I think they "appear" now when an encounter/event occurs. The days of wandering banter appear done. Talky talk is for camp now, I guess.
I thought in the very first demo they showed Varric and Cassandra bantering while the Inquisitor was in one of the larger explorable areas in the game. So I wouldn't rule it out.

Yeah. I think it's just that they wanted the focus on the inquisitor exploring to be the inquisitor in the demonstration.

Loved it and I'm super pleased that Twitch had it so early as I'll be asleep when IGN show it.
Can't wait to see the full video later on!

Doubt it. In the demo shown several months ago Cass and Varric were with you and commented on the environment.

Good with lots of options and variety, but you risk having the "quality" of certain romances not reaching any real hights. But hopefully BW manages to create something good out of them.

No. You'll get a GUI notification allowing you to "opt in" to the conversations with the dialogue wheel as normal. But you can also opt out and stop if you are so inclined to do so.
Oh, that sounds much better. Thank you for calming our fears.

That may be a sorta "safe" zone. No horse, no encounter. Almost like a cut scene but then not quite. Just theories of course. We'll see.

So that map looked fantastic by the way. And I love the idea of my camps and my banners going up after I take over areas.

- Over 200 spells/talent trees
- Largest number of romances yet(good news for fans that are really into them)
- Dragons are endgame content
- It's possible to get by the entire game with just one member in your party.
Thank you. Will add the info to the OP. At least til someone posts a video on the gameplay.

I didn't liked how zoomed in the map was if you're talking about the fast travel one. I hope there is an option to scale the UI to a smaller size. Dragon Age 2's UI was unfortunately for me the best part of that game it was pretty slick.

Anyone also catch the "Warp" fast travel?
Not a fan of that, but it's obviously 100% optional.
Btw, is Iron Bull VA'd by Idris Elba? I heard him speak and I immediately thought I was listening to Heimdall from Thor.

I heard him speak. Wasn't disappointed.
First let me get my criticism out of the way. Disclaimer: I absolutely loved the showing but I do have one huge issue.
The Animations in the cinematic looked very jittery, particularly in whole body shots or wide frame shots. I think this is consistent with how Mass Effect 2 and 3 looked, but it's disappointing that it hasn't been fixed yet.
Other than that, absolutely stellar. The combat, the pacing, the visuals, the dragon. Insanely good. When the clip isn't cut to pieces, you can actually see just how Origins-like the combat really is, including complex stat and attribute breakdowns of your enemy targets.
Amazing, haters gonna hate, I thought it was a better show than The Witcher 3, though DA:I Is much closer to launch.
I saw that too. Little bit of wacky-waving-inflatable-arm-flailing-tube-man limb action

Could you please clarify how this compares to a DAO conversation?
For instance, in Redcliff's castle, right before the march to Denerim, there are three dwarven commanders discussing the readiness of the Orzammar forces. If you approach them, you are pulled into the conversation where you'll then have the dialogue tree at your disposal.
Will the only differences between this and the conversations in DAI be that you have the option to not approach the NPCs and/or opting out of the conversation at anytime?

I will take a guess that Varric is the only companion that will stay with the Inquisitor,or else he won't have an epic story to tell for others.
I'm not sure, didn't they say Varric get's really angry if you don't save that village?
It sounds like he'll be far stronger minded and opinionated than he was in DA2.
My guess would be that Cassandra always stays with you, as her power base seems to be the foundation of the inquisition organisation.

The UI is just hidden when not in combat.
Can we choose to unhide it?
